FRC Team 2485 Driver station, Pic Heavy

So I probibly wont make any commets, ill just post pictures. I did not do this all by myself. It is a collaberation of talented group of individuals, a couple of high school kids, a college kid, and one incredibly passonate father on our team. if you have any questions feel free to pm me or drop it here.

A little background info:
I am part of a FRC(FIRST Robotics Compition) Robotics team, we create everything in house, except for hardware parts and powdercoating, we weld, we mill, and we carbon fiber. I wont go into the all the details but each team needs a driver station to opperate their robot. Its up to each team to design their own set up. This is our set up. enjoy

side note our first fiberglass female mold failed so we had to make a second one this is the second one. (never mix polyester resin with other kinds, that is the moral of the story)







spraying down this hairspray material that holds the fibers together like the resin but this substance we used helps hold everything together and then when the resin is introduced the glue like substance relases its hold on the fibers.

alright wish us luck over the night we had some problems near the end but we think it will come out ok(hopefully)

all looks good from the inside of the box. tough to say about the the exterior cause we couldnt pop out the carbon fiber mold yesterday hopefully well have more luck on saturday.
