it is not unfolded but it has about 95 percent of the lines highlighted ready to click the magic button. hope you guys like it or that it is pepable. fell free to change it as you guys see fit as always. statyk did the helmet on a different thread and the shoulder is somewhere here in the 405th, I uploaded it a long time ago, can you say easter egg hunt. otherwise it is a complete armor set

sad news on the wet works complete armor set, I cant find it. in any of my many comps, hard drives, flash drives. I have no idea what I did with it.

not unfolded, well semi only

The chestpiece is great. but i dont think its wise to pep the thrusters this way. could be hard to reach the details under those thrusters for polishing work.
could you cut those thrusters off? i would do it by myself but i can export the OBJ file. Would uploaded it again and send you the file (or the unfolded file)

Amazing, that's all I can say for the chest piece. I'm in the same boat as harican89 concerning the thruster pods. In game, it seems that the top third 1/3 of the pod is connected to the back. I don't know if you've seen Aztlan's rouge armor, but it has flat faces where big sections join together like a tab and slot thingy-jig. I was thinking that could be applied to the thrusters, and all that would need to be done to connect them to the back is a good round of glue and get a nice secure seal/stick.

Hi Crimmson. I think your air assault torso looks great. It might be difficult to strengthen the paper for the two back fins unless they were constructed separately from the main piece and then joined later.

For construction purposes you may want to consider omitting the inner faces and adding support struts similar to what L3X BLU3R1V3R always did with his torso models (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/28565-Another-Reach-Mark-V-Torso). Putting together the paper and hardening enclosed models can be difficult. Just something to consider.

I like the experimental vibe I get from this thread. It seems you like to play with different types of models. Keep up the good work.

thank you Satchmo

First, Thank you to Arcanine, Gravemind, Elijah, and Roseanna for the adj program, which without it we would not be scrambling to get these models ready.

I mesh welded, straightened out weird geometry, flattened out faces that were skewed, split models in half and mesh welded back for symmetry. i sharpened details

it was heavily modded at the neck area, back area was in separate pieces so I mesh welded them.

gungnir set

I had to heavily mesh weld this set, but I like it.

commando set
the helmet had a lot of weird geometry. I straightened them out trying to make sense of what the faces were being intended
to be. in short I changed some stuff

none of these are unfolded, copy right Microsoft, 343, non profit only guys and gals. any questions comments, post them here. I only added some extra details to the pieces not a lot. these are basically my favorite sets which is why I started on these first. any requests posts them here other wise I will go down the file line mesh welding and fixing faces. the chest pieces are in three parts, the front, thrusters are detached from the main back piece.

i.e.
h4commandoexample.jpg
where the pieces meet, I flattened out the faces and made symmetrical. on the shoulder armor I added a band to some of the models due to them being in separate pieces or the original band was... meh. so I changed it and I mesh welded the shoulder and bicep pieces together.

Hey Crimmson, I have a small request. I need a model of this gun from a game I use to play. Its the Nightshade Pistol.

http://static.gamesradar.com/images...hed/111708_wanted_banner04--article_image.jpg

If you need some reference. I can give you what I have but it is not much.

I wouldn't be able to make with references available. I looked on the internet for the game wanted and I could not get suitable pics.

Defender

I cut a lot of detail into this one especially the top and back, straightened out a lot of twisted faces, low hanging vertices etc, cut the helmet in half and mesh welded back together for symmetry.
aligned and mesh welded the visor in place, straightened out the faces as well as defining it some.

not unfolded

this one was a pain in the, watch your mouth sucka, to straighten out almost as bad as the gungrir. cut details into the front and back, align verts and faces.
by the way with these I am aiming for a happy medium in detail-ease of build ratio. on a scale of one to ten, I am aiming for a five or six, maybe higher depending on the model.

h4defenderchest.jpg

h4defenderchestback.jpg
anyone want to look these over.

not unfolded

copyright Microsoft, 343, non profit only kidos.

I think I will stop here and start on my all time favorite armor set. RECON, with the rest of the armor I like (I am leaning towards the ones I typed first)

recon helmet
recon chest
gv09 arm or twin plate
xg89 narrow legs or lg50 bulk

I am aiming for a 8-9 on the scale.... so I might disappear for a while guys and gals.

and then I have had an idea for a crazy set up, that would take a crazy person to build when I get the model ready. think along the lines of decay.

watch this. it will pump you up. red vs blue vid

Hey Crimmson, I don't know if you take requests, but if you do, could you clean up the Elite Ultra armor from the Halo Reach Assets?
It would be great if you could add that to your queue. I'm not good at that stuff, but I can do the unfolding (regular and for foam).

no problem, will add, sort of started cleanup already.

small update on the recon. I really like how the chest piece is looking I hope you guys and gals like it as well. I am currently working on the back
side cleaning up the model and adding details. split the model in half for symmetry and mesh welded.

this is the original untouched

and the magic begins
h4reconchest.jpg

h4reconchestside.jpg

the highlighted area is where the "booster" will attach to, so I have flattened out the area on the back and on the booster side as well, not fun
h4reconchestback.jpg

h4reconchestbottom.jpg

highlighted area is the proposed area for mesh welding the side to the back pack
h4reconchestback2.jpg

it will be in three pieces like the rest. Lex started doing that along time ago and I liked it plus it was asked for as well.
