Can someone make an unfolding AND exporting tutorial?

I have an unfolded model of a whole suit of armor from Jico's Tribes files. Can anyone create a tutorial on how to separate the parts? I have very little knowledge about this. If there is already a thread with these instructions please link it. Thank you.

I appreciate the effort, however I am trying to separate pieces from the whole model (like the helmet from the torso, and torso from arms) into their own files. Is that possible?

After you export from Pepakura, you can use this video to separate the file in Blender.
