Well I havn't seen many Pilot Helmet builds on the 405th. So i decided to build one. I still have not decided whether to do halloween yet or not, but i ordered a vaccum former today. My girlfriend really helped with this build. (EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) NOW INCLUDING ARMOUR WIHT BUILD!

This was a test color... I hated it.

UPDATE! ARMOUR BUILD ADDED TO THIS BUILD! (FINISHED ARMOUR NOT HELMET!

HELMET: battle damage added:

ARMOUR:

for arms

left shoulder/chest

boots, shins, and thighs with thigh attachment on right

thigh

all of left leg

chest with collar breacher (need ideas for shells)

commando shoulder (can you see my noble team emblem?)

Helmet is looking really good. Always go for the iridium visors! You should totally try to finish by Halloween, that's what I'm trying to do and I'm still cutting out pieces of paper.

Thanks, i'm actually going to do the original "Vaccum form and night shades thing" So any criticism and help would be awesome! I'm not sure how to mount a visor.

My vaccum form came in and my night shades tint came in. I'm currently on a military base away from home for my brothers graduation from basic. so when i get home some updates will surelly come in. I don't know if i want to do a haunted helmet though? any suggestions?

mounting a visor is pretty simple. you can just counter sink some nuts into the fiberglass making sure your visor will sit flush then epoxy the nut in place. but make sure to use rubber washers on both sides or youll scratch the hell out of it.

Not a bad job!

In the future, make sure that there's not a light behind you when you take a picture; it ruins the quality of the image and makes it more difficult to see what you're trying to showcase.

Thank you very much! I spent a lot of time and money figuring this whole pilot helmet out. So yea. Also my plastic warped and the mold for my visor was too bif for my vaccum former so it was a pain to heat up my plastic with a heat gun and mold it myself, but it worked in the end. Is anyone going to comicon in chicago?

This looks amazing! I really have to stop reading the forums before going to bed, stuff like this gets my inspiration and brain going! Love the dump pouch oh the thigh too, nice addition.
