Gypsy Danger (Pacific Rim) Files

INICIATING LAUNCH OPERATIONS: GYPSY DANGER

Hello everyone, I normally don't post in here since I am rubbish at 3d modeling but after seeing Pacific Rim I really wanted to make Gypsy Danger and well I found my self looking into modeling... lets not even go there. Next I tried to rip the game assets, same results . Then Crimson posted in the movie discussion thread that IGN did a competition not too long ago and released a 3d model of Gypsy Danger; thus Google once again was my best friend. So after downloading them I loaded up Blender and separated the body pieces and converted them in to .pdo's. now I am going to go through and do my best to make them Human friendly but I make no promises, in the mean time ya'll can have fun and feel free to repost them to your hearts content.

ALERT THE FALLOWING FILES ARE RAW AND UN-USABLE FOR COSTUMEING WITHOUT SOME MODIFACATIONS!!!

Oooohhhh yeah!!!!! Here we go. I tried finding them but I couldn't, but I am glad you did. Only way to learn anything found here on the 405TH is to jump in feet first. Happy modeling and good luck.

I'm going to try my hand at unfolding it into something decent once I have some time off work. Never done it before so wish me luck.

Does anyone know any .PAC file viewers? I'm looking into finding other models and they may be in this format...

All-righty I have Unfolded the chest piece, I don't know just how well it would fit but I took some guesstamits and I think it might juts work... at 22in width, I will print and test it after I get off of work tonight. Also I am about halfway done unfolding the Head, I just need to organize the parts. Also I have started to work on making the abs and belt. into separate pieces.

Wow, nice job on finding these and getting the ball rolling! Though I'm not sure if anyone has enough paper to print it out at 300ft tall... (Kidding). If I get the time/find the right reference photographs, I'll work on the plasma cannon and/or sword.

Preparing to release Conn-Pod

Hello all, I have finished unfolding the Head (conn-pod) for Gypsy Danger and here it is

I have printed it out and I am currently working on building it, pics coming soon.

This is pretty cool, didn't see the movie but am looking forward to the sight.

Alright so I also finished the Abs as well as the Belt, I will say that after looking at these pieces you might be able to get the belt with pepakura but I think it may be better to do it out of foam. When it comes down to the Abs, the only real option for them is some thiner EVA foam.

This is amazing! I could actually build a gypsy danger statue now :,D

Not to hastle you but where did you get the gypsy rips from? Would it be possible to get Cherno ripped as well? I don't need a full unfold, even just the raw files in a pep format like your original gypsy post would be awesome.

Edit: nvm, misread the original post and thought you had ripped them from the game somehow. Looks like it's back to the drawing board...

Don't worry once I get some extra money I plan on getting the XBLA game and ripping all of the Jaeger models and uploading them.
