I'm back! What's up, 405th? Long-time no-see! After a good year(ish) long hiatus I'm back to building Halo armor! I'm sorry to say it, but Halo 4 was a disappointment for me. Granted the midnight release was a blast, but the game itself was pretty lacking in my opinion. The disappointment made me feel like giving halo stuff a break so I ended up working on stuff from 40k, RuneScape, and Star Wars. You can find some of my work on my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Nayrdeathexp
Anyways yeah, so though I kinda dislike the game, I still want to make armor from it. I'm planning on a Locus helmet, Vanguard torso, and Rogue shoulders. I haven't determined what I want for the rest, but I will soon. Hopefully this suit will be way better than my old one (lights, speakers, detailed undersuit, better paint, and more accurate design). Alongside this I'll also be helping my girlfriend make her own suit as well, as we hope to wear them to Fanime this summer.
This is what it looked like after two hours of work:
And this is where I'm at so far. Yes, it's plasti-dipped, I wanted to see what it'd look like with some paint on it. I still have some details and other aspects of it to work on before I paint it, but right now I'm almost out of foam.
I plan on putting an screen on this that displays vitals, heart-rate, and all that good stuff. It won't be real, of course, but will look pretty cool.
Apologies for the quality of the photos, I could use a new camera. :/
Thanks for looking! Feel free to ask questions/comment/and critique. I always love feedback!
