Halo 4 Mark V Helmet With RUBBER NECK SEALS(Impact Props)

Hey guys!

First of all, before we start, this file is NOT public. I am not sure when the maker or unfolded will release it to the 405th or anyone.

So lets just jump right into it! This is the Halo 4 Mark V! Right now, i am about half done with the pep. I plan to finish the whole paper part of the process this weekend.

I'm looking forward to this already, I love anything Mark V, and with you behind it, this is bound to be awesome. It's a shame it's private, I'd do inappropriate things to get my hands on a copy of that.

May I ask what generation of Mark V you're working on? (e.g. Halo 1, 3, 4, Reach)

If I had to guess, S-420, I'd say this is the Halo 4 rendition, but I could be mistaken.

I have the full Halo 4 Mark V set in the folder linked in my sig if anyone's interested. MissingSpartan7 ripped the models and I did the unfolding.

So not too big of an update, but i rotocasted the inside with smoothcast 300 and i hit it with some sand paper. I went to town with a sharpie to point out where the imperfections are and what needs to be cut out and so on. So in short, we are ready for some bondo!

What kind of Sanders do you use to make it so smooth? And those small areas?

I just use a sander from Harbor freight. Not sure if it matters if you get a top quality one - mine is only 15 bucks. I use 80 grit for my first sand down of the blocks on the top. Next is a layer of bondo, sand that down with 100 grit, spray some filler primer down, hand sand with 220 grit till smooth. Now i did that process 6 times on the top. Maybe get some spot putty in there right when you think its perfect, it will fill in those micro pin holes (so will the filler primer). Once you get it to the shape you want it, hit it with some automotive primer and sand with 550 until perfect. I still haven't done that final layer of primer and that final sanding, Im waiting until i can do the entire helmet before i spend the time to make it perfect.
