Finally got this thing to a point where it was presentable. By far the single MoST tedious build I've undertaken thus far. About 2 years worth of weekends (on and off) in the making, with a few processes and techniques learned along the way. I Need to complete the assembly and then add some finishing touches in the weathering and then onto the shelf she goes. I took a wee bit of artistic license...but it's not outside the realm of the original concept. Plus I think (IMHO) that I added slightly to the real world aspect of the design. :)

p.s. Grenades...God help me, I do love them so.

Humble beginnings

ready to mold. Note: Foam floats! Keep this in mind when mounting the master in the mold box. I used clay and watched in horror as the trigger assembly rouse out of the rubber as I poured in the rebound. had to use some scrap silicone to keep the dang thing withing it's confines.

That looks awesome, il be attempting a pair of these at some point in the near future, thread subbed

Thanks Jake. You and an anonymous Childs Play charity winner are the only ones whom own any of my nades.

@Angel62sir- Thanks for the subz and the kind words. Please et me know if there is anything I can help with. If you decide to go it alone, this Goddess of Molding and Casting with rubber and plastics sure is a cruel and expensive teacher. First she gives you the quiz and only THEN do you learn the lessons.

Left to right
Sculpey master made by using a modified AAAbattery/The Rebound block mold made from strips pulled from an OOMOO waste mold/First trigger housing was too 'tall', second which I also slushed, was too narrow(but I only discovered this after molding it in Sorta Clear)/The original trigger which was fine but too small for the 'new' trigger housing

We are, aren't we? I'll totally be down for getting one of these once you have a production flow! Molding can be a pain sometimes...
