Yay another ODST build! Well at least it will be Halo 4's Version

So I built the FOTUS helmet that I unfolded and it actually came together very easily! It was just a tad too small so I'm making another.
Here's the first that's too small. I still have to figure up a way to connect the horn to it.

I know it may not necessarily look to small right now, but with armor on it will be. Also, my wife already is pretty small at 5'1" and I had to cut the back open just to get it on her. If I'm looking at casting this, then I have to make it bigger for more people to use.

Through the search box or by randomly going through each of the subforums.
Looking around will definitely help you learn something.

You might want to try the 3D-Modeling subforum, there might just happen to be what you are looking for on the 1st page. (I know there is)

If you havent already started pepping the bigger helmet I suggest going into pep and clicking settings -> other settings and check the box that says "Hide almost flat folding lines" then set the threshold box to 160.

You will get a lot smoother helmet and it will require less bondo and sanding.

Well Rhinoc, thanks for the tip I can use in the future but unfortunately it's already cut out and 1/3 assembled..... I'll remember this for the next time though!

So while Ash was at work today, I finished up assembling the main part of the FOTUS helmet for her.

I know it's been a little bit, but I do have a small update.
Started the hardening process on the FOTUS and this weekend I'll be making a mold of my ODST helmet. Super excited for my Smooth- On products to arrive tomorrow. I've done a lot of research but this will be my first time casting anything. Any tips?

Thank you both for the kind words :)

Yeah I would've been back sooner but moving is a pain in the rear hahaha. Decided to start finally getting back to detailing my helmet and rondoing the inside of the fotus. Unfortunately I haven't played with any of my casting stuff yet

So the legs are constructed (knees not shown). Now I just have to attach it all and start sealing/painting.

Thanks everyone! We've really bumped it up into overdrive too. My whole suit is constructed and the wife now has decided to build one. We built the fotus helmet and it's been hardened but still needs finishing so we can mold it. Then she decided she wouldn't make armor. Now, a month before the con, she wants to make it. Rush rush rush rush!!!!!!
So much to do, so little time. We will post pics of the Venator suit here soon.

pic update!
I really hope this goes well :)

Help!
Sorry for the double post but my phone is being odd...
So I need some advice. I somehow managed a huge blunder I think and I need input. I managed to miss a spot in the first coat of smooth on. Of course I'm making more coats, but do I need to start over?
