halo 4 ma5d scratch build

after odst and smg build, i started new one. and i decided to build halo 4 ma5d. my build base on this:

i used wood to make the body and foam, formic for details
i made this by far, here's the first start

Not bad at all! I'm surprised by the use of a hard wood over MDF or something though - aren't you worried about knots and such?

my dad is a carpenter, so he has tools to cut and detail my gun. and i took me alot of time to cut and....so on
i think next time i still use wood to make gun

Ah, I see.

MDF is still a wood - it's medium-density fibreboard. It's generally the go-to product for people making props out of wood when they can't get hold of sintra or balsa wood. People use it with CNC lathes due to the lack of knots in it, and the ease of working with it.

Thanks for the advise! I'll try it. But, i don't have cnc. I know mdf and it's a good-working material. Did u use mdf to make your gun?
