Why, why, WHY did they go with 11/11/14 when they could have easily done 11/7/14? Such a missed opportunity IMO!

Probably because most all new things are released to retail on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 11/7 would have been awesome, but there's no chance they would have released it on a Sunday.

I suspect that 11/11 was chosen because it is a holiday around almost 1/2 of the world. That is going to give players a lot of time to get their feet wet.

I actually have to agree that 11/7 would have been more fun. But, that's just me.
