Hi everyone,

I'v been working on this on and off for the past, I think year or two and I'm almost done with it so i thought I would share what i have right now to keep me motivated. I'm still fairly new to this and this would be the first suit, let alone first project that i would be completing. I would like any help that you guys might throw my way on how to make things better or just general knowledge i'v missed. so thanks for viewing and enjoy.

Wow man. Thats really looking good. Are the forearms a bit short? I dont know anything about sizing armor but they look short.

Nice pep work. Scaling pieces can be tricky, and most of us have had to rebuild pieces from time to time. Now that they are resin'd you can see how they fit, and how your movement is. Sometimes you need to choose between size and mobility, and that all comes down to personal preference.

Keep at it!

You're pep looks like it's coming together well, and your sizes seem right so far.

As for the visor, resin it!

It's worth fiber glassing because the visor helps keep the helmet rigid while you're hardening it. If you cut out the visor while the helmet is only resin coated, you'll almost definitely warp the edges surrounding the visor opening, and probably risk the whole helmet wanting to warp, simply because there is now a massive extra hole in the middle.

At least fiberglass or rondo the helmet. I recommend leaving it in as long as possible, because it's such an easy thing to remove at any step, and it just ensures the helm is that much stronger while smoothing.

Also, if you wanna take the extra step, save the visor cut-out. If you're interested in vacuum forming your own visor later own, you can use the cut-out as the base for your vacuum buck.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone hears an update.

and got some fiberglass on the inside of the helmet.

Question about resin, most of the time i resin things i leave it out for a day or two but i still get parts on it that are tacky or plain sticky is there a reason for that? could it be that its not hot or i need to add more harder?

It could be a little bit of both. I too have run into this problem, though with practice and good measuring it happens less often. For me, most times the stickiness was just due to lack of thorough mixing of the resin/hardener. If all else fails I just let the piece sit for an extra day or two and that usually does the trick.

...Your pep makes me want to reconsider my foam usage. Seriously, it's coming together so well.

Man, I really wish I didn't have such shaky hands and the patients to do pep, because I would love to do a pep ODST or a pep of my Reach or H4 multiplayer Spartan. Looking great by the way, can't wait to see what you do with the painting and colour scheme in general. Keep it up! :D
