Recon helmet visor. Need help (First build)

Hi guys.

Last week I started building my first Pepakura helmet. I chose to build the Scout variant and the one I went for was the ow detail one from the Halo costuming section on wikia.
The issue I'm having is finding a good way of creating the visor because I want to keep the detail from the pep net and not just have a flat curved visor because I don't think it will look as good.

So my my questions are;
Whats the best way to make a visor (without just buying a motorcycle on)?
And what is the best way to tint it so you can only see out not in (and is it possible to tint it in colours other than black and orange)?

A sheet of thin, flexible plastic and some one-way window tint would be your best bet.

This is a screen shot of the net. Would it still work with the open sections that help to create the bends.

Probably not. Vacuum-forming some plastic may work.
