Wow stupid school block... says the second link has pornography and adult content....

The first linki is dead... and is the second one with all of them? Cause I have a bunch, a Mark VI, Halo 2 ODST, Halo 3 ODST, Noble 6, and a Recon helmet. The one I was given earlier was just a Mark VI and an ODST

so im building a space marine and the helmet is almost finished so should i just use the same scale factor for the chest that is set for the helmet or should i measure?

depends.

if the two files were from the same person, and were scaled the same in the beginning, then you'd be fine.

However, Just for cautions sake, re-scale it anyways.

I'm new at armour molding and I'm working on my helmet as I type this.

I cannot access the site at home anymore and it is not my internet connection. I can access it anywhere else, but my home pc. On my home pc, I can access any site except this one.

I'm just wondering, is it my internet? The servers? My computer? Or have I been IP banned? :( Thanks.

Hello everybody,

I am new to the life size modelling world and was wondering if I could get some help. I am making a movie with some buddies of mine and we are in need of some of your expertise. I have read some of the topics, looked at the pictures and would like to make my own Halo Spartan III armor. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Roughly how much will this cost?

What materials should I use?

How do I go about making this armor?

Will it be true to the Halo universe?

Will it be functional, as in will I be able to move and run in it?

Sincerely,

Alex

You should read all of the sticky's before you go to posting/looking for help.

Specifically this sticky will tell you about a foray into the world of armor building:

Get to reading, and everything should be answered.

can someone please explain how scaling is determined? on the pd3, under the 2d tab, then scaling, you are given height, width, depth, scaling. the scaling is for ironman. 1.525. since we know it is based to 6 foot, if i didnt know that then how would i figure it out?

also, i have tried to change the h/w/d and i can only change one and the other 2 are way out of wack when i do. why is this? so i guess my question is, if i want to scale this to me and i have long legs but thin diamter; is there a way to completely input my dimensions?

thank you.

i am quite surprised that no one has chimed in. i understand that this question is beat to death but this isnt a 'hey, can someone do the work for me because i dont want to take the time to learn.'

since pd3 doesnt have tech support. i can understand why; we are left helping each other.

so, would my only option be to just 3d, scale, unfold and input my own dimensions?

where is the classified section? :)

You have to be a veteran, which takes a certain amount of posts.

Don't let this make you spam this forum... take your time, learn some things and build your own!!

If you REALLY need to buy some things (time restraints etc.etc.) you can always contact members privately for information on buying their things.

So I tried to look through this thread for a similar question, but I didn't see it. I may have just missed it...anywaaay, I'm trying to get in to costuming, but I don't want to spend the money and time on a full project. My idea was to start on something smaller, such as a weapon from Halo. My actual question is, what would be a good weapon to start off with, that would be challenging but not too challenging. I was thinking maybe the magnum, but I'd like some input on this. Thanks!

Ok, I scaled my Iron Man suit and got like 41.53 or somethin like that, now can that scale be used on ANY other armor I decide to make? Such as Halo or Gears stuff?

No.

You have to seperatly scale each armour part seperatly. Never, ever, ever, EVER copy and paste a scale number.

Contact me via MSN or Skype with any other questions you may have about scaling. I can also walk you through the proper scaling process that will work for any and all armour out there.

Good luck!
