That sounds awesome man!
I wish you all the best of luck on this project, sounds like you are gonna take this challenge, smack it in the face, and move along quite fine!

I can't wait too more of this, and since I'm to far to help physically, if you need space to host pictures or videos, drop me a PM :p

Good luck!

Sadly the only update I have is bad news - the clutch has gone on the Land Rover again, so that's back in the shop. Further, production of the warthog has had to be pushed back due to a rush of jobs at Props Studios in time for Christmas, so work can't begin til January.

However, the guns are coming along nicely, and both the MA5Cs and M6Gs are in the prototyping stage. I am hopeful I will be able to release details about them soon as well as prototype photos - the M6Gs will also be working and will be fitted on airsoft gas pistols!

A little update for you guys as we plod nearer and nearer to Christmas!

The Warthog construction blog has been designed and is in the process of being finished off. It will be hosted on the Props Studios website so Daniel, their project co-ordinator heading the project, can update you all on their progress daily once work begins again in January!

Another big announcement - we have reached an agreement with Imaginary Friends Studios, an amazing art studio based out of Singapore, for some concept artwork for the film! Kai, one of their senior art directors and an absolute whizz with photoshop, will be doing the first of hopefully several images for us in the coming months, and let me tell you, I am really excited to see them!

Lastly, and I save the best to last, I can now say that we have our first cast member as good as attached! It is none other than the esteemed Al Matthews, made famous for his role as Sergeant Apone in Aliens! He will be appearing as General Maynard, commanding officer of the 267th Marine Regiment, as the Regiment prepares for its final push against the Covenant invaders in the Andes foothills.

Busy busy busy.

Busy is one word for it, aye. :)

I hope it comes out good. I've set my bar at the quality of "Starship Troopers 2" - a competantly made film with bad cast and several bad creative decisions. If I can stick to that, I'm golden!

just as long you love it that all it really matters...this is your baby anyway

True, true. But equally I want to make a film that people will want to see and will enjoy. At the very least it's an excuse to have my own warthog... though deep down, do you really need a reason? :D

how long do you plan on making it?

And any spoilers of what we'll see? And spartans or anything like that? and what's the timeframe?

Holy crap! you've got like... real movie stars in your movie (y)
I really cannot wait till this comes out :D
When its finished, i know of a place in Melbourne called ACMI (Australian center for the moving image) that show a lot of independent films, I'm sure they would love to screen this, and i would be glad to do my part in making that happen, let me know what you think :D

The film itself will be feature-length, and it's set in Southern Argentina in March 2553 as the war comes to a close. This is one of the last pockets of Covenant resistance on Earth, and High Command are anxious to wrap everything up nicely, and soon. The 267th Marine Regiment have the Covenant encircled and hemmed in, and the 29th Marine Reserves have moved in to help support them so they can make their final push and erradicate the Covenant in the region. The group the film is centred on, a reconnaisance platoon, get recruited for an ONI operation of grave importance. Their orders - locate the Covenant stronghold, and hold until relieved.

I would love to see my film played in a cinema at some stage. I think to do that and enter it into festivals etc. I will need Microsoft's blessing, so hopefully the film will be good enough to let them give me the nod, unlikely as that might be.

You'd probably be surprised - Microsoft may own the Halo franchise, but it's Bungie's little baby and I'd figure that if they're still as good then as they are now with community projects, they'll get something set up for you.

wow this is crazy. you are pretty much fulfilling a dream for most if not all the people on this site. major props to you and your crew. cant wait to see your progress
