Would Mr.Oreos scaling program work for something like this, I know I won't be building a TK out of paper but I used his program to scale parts of my Mark VI using a image of a Chief to do it it should work the same way with a Stormtrooper.

well if you know an anh stormtrooper stands 5'11" find a front view an set the height to 5'11" an measure each piece. I know in illustrator or inkscape as well as photoshop you could scale the image to 5'11" and measure each piece

EDIT: another way you could do it is by taking the base model and uploading them into sketchup (or other program sketchup is just the easiest because its in feet all ready) and scale it to 5'11" then you can find the scale hight for each piece

I'm not "into" starwars stuff, but that looks pretty nice. Is it a game model or your own? and does it also have shoe covers, or do people usually use white shoes to complete the overall look?

I think this is where the 3d files came from: http://www.sharecg.com/v/28494/poser/Stormtrooper-Armor.

You do have to buy the white shoes for the armor after you are done. Here are some websites to buy them from and they are a descent price:

1. http://caboots.zoovy.com/category/d/

2. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Stormtrooper-Costume-Shoes-10-11/dp/B000JKBZQO

3. http://www.costumespartyandevents.com/Star-Wars-Clone-Wars-Stormtrooper-Adult-Boots-P16391.aspx

4. http://www.usacostumes.com/60250.html

These are just a few that I found.

Here is a website for the under suit that you'll need to wear to complete the armor: http://www.123scuba.com/page/001/PROD/wetsuits/DS0034

You can found everything else on ebay or google if you want to find the cheapest price.

I am 5' 9", would I fit in the armor made for 5' 11"? I am not sure how big my head is, I hope the scale is right for the helmet because I want to put one together this weekend.

Here is a website that sales a full scale replica but, it does not go into detail on what the size is, just that one size fits most if not all adults. It has adjustable head straps to make it fit. http://www.gohastings.com/product/TRENDS/Star-Wars-Stormtrooper-Full-Sc/sku/275053185.uts

I'll keep trolling the internet for more information. Great job so far! I have wanted this armor for years.

I guess those shoes were a bit pricey. Sorry. As for your website, I think that I came across that one before. Really good tutorial. I looked for prices on those shoes and they can be more expensive then the ones that I suggested.

These are 29.99 + shipping and handling:

http://www.famousfootwear.com/Shopp... Original&group=Mens&cpckw=Mens Chelsea Brown

Here are some other ones for 34.99 + s+h:

http://www.shoemetro.com/p-128871-t...le-shoes-black-womens.aspx?CAWELAID=464278271

They are women's shoes though.

Here are some Dr. Martens Marceaux Patrick-Chelsea Boot that are already white but, 50.60.

A bit pricey. I am only working from the US side and don't know much about UK pricing. Love Doctor Who by the way. Can't wait till this Weekend. I just hope the new guy will work out.

The tutorial calls for black Chelsea boots and that is what I found on google so far. You could go either way I guess. If you find some used at a thrift store then you would be really lucky.

Can someone measure a helmet that is as screen accurate as possible, even a FX would be fine can just round it down a small bit. :)

I trust that dungbeetle did a good job on the scaling of the helmet. After all he did do a great job on the Iron Man helmet. I have a kind of a big head and unfortunately for my daughter, so does she. I am going to pep this one out this weekend once I put the finishing touches on my Iron Man build that I am working on. Awesome job dungbeetle! Any chance you could do the blaster?

Actually your hight is what the original screen actors were from 5'8" to 5'10" the helmet an boots will add the extra hight needed

so a ruff guess on the scaling i would put it around 33 cm plus or minus a few it only a ruff guess.

If you use the average hight of the human head around 26.5 cm then you add 6.5 cm extra (5cm below the chin and 1.5 above top of the head)

only a ap or a te will you know the true hight but i bet it will be very very close

EDIT: an i sent belakor a message i know he troops around in the 501th so he will be your best bet to debunk this

I used the efx helmet as a reference, except I made it symmetrical for an easier build. I guess if you have warping issues, it may come out pretty accurate LOL.

The helmet is my work from scratch, the armor is edited (a lot, it was high poly) to work better in pepakura.

Nobody said:
They are closest to ESB/ROTJ but not exact, maybe if I get a chance I will whip up some ANH hand plates.

Check out http://www.whitearmor.net , its the 501st stormtrooper forums there are some great tutorials and reference pics.

my last post here has the tutorials and reference pics for the whitearmor.net and the template are the once from there tutorial.

we just need to pep them if possible please.
