Hopefully this won't disappear like half of the other threads in the Weapons subforum...

After about two days of work:

Finally, someone who respects the plunger design of the Nitefinder. Lookin' good.
The NF is one of the better springers still out there. All the newer designs have the crappy Recon reverse-plunger...
Here's to hoping to revive the NF fame, haha.
The only problem is that with the nature of the design, I'd have to elongate the plunger itself, to compensate for the length of the weapon. It shouldn't be a problem though, as I'll probably lengthen it behind the trigger catch.

what kind of wood is that
MDF.

Nice work.
Looks very similar to the one I am doing, with out the nerf thing.
Keep up the good work.

You making one too, Smick? I'd love to see your progress...!

Didn't get to work on it much today--only about 30 minutes--but still worked on it nonetheless.
Worked on sanding down the edges of the grip:

Thanks for all the positive words guys! :)

I will start a thread soon. Mine is still in the early stages as well. Yours is looking great. You using a dremel to round those edges?

What's your opinion on using the LS breech and plunger assembly in the larger weapons?

Yessir! Using a dremel to get the rough shape, then sandpaper to smooth it all out.

LS had a very clunky breech setup. It worked well, but definitively had a lot of extra stuff in there, haha.
When you ask "larger weapons," do you mean to adapt this project to something more like the AR, BR, or DMR?

Been working.
Adding styrene to the outside for detailing:

Drilled the hole for the screw to attack the plunger tube to the frame:

And added the knob for the trigger to follow:

Still much more to go.

Since I can...

I hate the way that top gray piece turned out, so I'm redoing it tomorrow.
