I was wondering how some members made such accurate pieces out of foam.

Gawd if i have to hear foam one more time I SWEAR I'M GONNA HURT SOMEONE!!!!!!

But seriously thanks for these vids!!! Foam armor here I come!!!!

Yes!!!! ive been waiting to see how to do this for so long.
thank you so much for posting the tutorial its greatly appreciated

Thanks for the tutorial Ben! I was trying to get a few questions answered by Privateer but I may come to you instead. You actually brought a few more questions to mind.

Anyways, be ready for some later. Hopefully they help others out as well.

i got some questions that will probably come up in the tutorial, but how would u go about hardening/strengthening the parts. like if i made a weapon liek the sniper/battle rifle how would u make it not bend. and when u paint it how do u stop the paint from cracking if it flexes.

looks very cool, and also practical, like you could wear it for a while without dying, just one question - how hot will it be in there compared to other methods. Great work though, anybody else notice avenged sevenfold - the dangerline playing in the background of the first video or was it just me :)

He goes a little into the process of how he does his Mass Effect rifles with foam. He basically cuts out a space in the rifle and lays a metal rod where he deems necessary.

Also, Privateer goes over what kind of paints you can and cannot use on the foam:

EvilFX's ME rifle is extremely light (think, feather) - but it feels solid when you're holding it. And, no one would guess it was EVA foam unless you knew. I don't know how well it would hold up to rough trooping though, just because it's made of layers. It may hold up just fine though. I don't know.

Great tutorial by the way!
