Saw a friend make the battle rifle out of paper and thought "My god! That's so cool!" Now I started the EOD helmet as my first attempt. I like how it came out for the most part. (Part 1 of it at least...still have to resin and bondo and paint and such...) and even with all the bloody fingers from super glue, I don't think I've ever been this happy and want to continue!
So...now my goal is to make the full EOD suit. I think...
So, any tips are welcome, comments or critiques.
Also..I tried hot glue gun, and kept getting webs everywhere and it looked terrible. Moved up to super glue and things work A LOT better...but I get stuck to my project in more ways then one. Tips?
Also, sizing... tried making a fallout 2 power helmet earlier and ALMOST finished before realizing I couldn't get my head through the hole...this one I just made a tad bigger and I fit it no problem, but makes me wonder a lot about how hard the rest of the suit will be...
Thanks for any help guys.
:D Sorry about some of my grammar too...

So I spent another day working on a bit more with a bud. Got the chest plate completely done and now need to do the sholder pads and E.O.D. is done! (Then its just the genaric armor :D)

This is my buddy Saint Ignatious and his Assult Rifle while wearing my Helm and Chest plate.
Any comments...please? Good or bad :D
Hoping to resin these as soon as it heats up a little...too bad its like 40 degrees.... T_T

Honestly I don't remember where I got the pep file. All I remember doing is downloading some BIG file that had like every halo uniform, weapon, covenant and marine/spartan.
Tried finding it again to download onto my laptop from Saint Iggi's house but couldn't find it again...
Does the chest not look right?
Also, I'm only a tad shorter than him, but when padded, it appears the peice is gonna fit perfect, same with the helmet! It all seems too good to be true though and I just have a sinking feeling that the minimal to no scaling I had to do for the two of these will come back and bite me when I have to rescale everything else for the armor with no knowlodge of how too. LOL
Thanks for the compliment too!

So. got an update now.
Finished the pelvic section. Yes this all does look a TAD big on me, and I see that..I'm hoping though that after it has all been hardend and padded that it will all fit very well and I'll look good... I hope...

Dude, your stuff looks great but with that said, your cod piece looks like a diaper. Only constructive criticism intended ;)

Check out rhinoc's cod piece, I think it would look good with your other pieces

Yeah, It does look like a diaper. Its the Mark VI cod. XD
You tlaking about the Halo Reach Rhinoc's cod piece? If so...its pretty nice... how do I go about sizing it properly if you don't mind me asking...

ALright; found whta you ment. I agree, looks amazing and doesn't appear that it will take 'too' long. I could use the diaper to test some hardening techniques and such...
Here's a question for you (Beside the aformentioned sizing help which I have been trying to learn, but 1-1 help doesn't hurt.)
The EOD chestplate is...my love. Problem is finding a backpack pep that will work with it. Every pep seems to be of the full backpack with chestpeice attached! How do I find one that cna either attach to the EOD or be on its own that doesn't look disperportiante and fudged up?

hey, just wanted to say a few things. 1 - your build is looking really good so far! keep up the good work! 2 - in the pic of you with the "diaper" on, you have it on backwards :D 3 - If the name of the chest file was "HD_EOD_FILE_Unfldd_for 46cm_L3X.pdo" then you're using my unfold of the EOD chest piece and i have a solution to your missing "backpack". When i unfolded that file i also unfolded the original Mk VI torso armor that it attaches to. download this file right here. What you will then want to do, if i read correctly you didnt change the size of it right?, anyways, just print this file out and build it and that chest piece should fit right to the front of it perfectly. Hope this helps!

HEY!!!If ur reading this, make a bigger hole in the visor area so it looks like the one from HALO:REACH cuz in reach the visor is actualy a visor not two sun glass lenses stuck on a helmet.Seriusly!Listen to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee and yer armr will look FTW! :D

Looks like the chest piece called HD EOD Chest L3X so yeah. Looks to be yours. Hopefully the backpack will work. Looks like it's not gonna mesh together properly... they don't stop and start in the same place where they would connect... crap. May just end up having to build the full chest piece you linked... it's totally awesome...and totally 33 pages T_T :D Thank you very much as well as thank you or the unfold. :D
And your so right. It was on backwards. XD

Argh clone prodject!, I am also making an EOD helm and chest, and I do have the problem of what to do at the back, as I'm using the same file as you is it defantly the one that fits in with the chest L3X BLU3R1V3R linked?

honestly I'm not sure... it looks like it 'might' but with it being such a huge project it would take building the whole back essentually to figure out if it fits properly. As said; might just build the whole chest peice for the Reach armor. Have this as a spare.

OK, So I've tweaked my plan a tad. Instead of trying to jerryrig another chestpieces backpack onto the one I have; the one I have will be extra and Imma build one that has a back too it. The Hayabusa Chest Letter (Skupilkinson) Only like 18 pages, and doesn't actually look that bad.
Problem is, it has a hole peice where your neck goes threw. Now I need to find a way to size this for me. Any good posts that you guys could direct me to that spell it out? LOL

*Bump*
Really really need some help on making this work... How to size the Hayabusa that is. Can't seem to find a guide that helps properly...
