just an idea but there are plastic signs and stuff where all they did was cut into them and use LED lights from the side to illuminate the cute areas - since you line up your eyes with the eye sockets (so you can see) if you centered it right and did a little carving work on the visor you should be able to do the same effect

Lemme get some pics:

Not gonna lie here, gonna take some skills carving into a acrylic visor to get it to look right, but maybe it'll inspire other ideas as well.

One side (usually the front) is all smooth, but the other has the carving into it, sometimes they dual layer the acrylic to have smooth sides on both sides.

You might also look into the Glass Etching stuff
http://www.etchmaster.com/information_site/is_techniques.htm
and might even find something like Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream for acrylic/plastics
http://www.nationalartcraft.com/subcategory.asp?gid=21&cid=384&scid=1850

Or you could get a glass visor and just use glass etching stuff. That's gonna be heaveir and more fragile though.

whoa! looks perfect :D BTW, where did you get the gloves? I havent been able to find those anymore :/

I got them off of Ebay for $10. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Paintball-A...985?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb83f6c41

You never cease to amaze. Are those Rhinocs gauntlets that you added a few of your own details or did you scratch build them?

Yes these are Rhinocs Gauntlets

lol unlike Reddeth, I don't have the attention span to read through 24 pages... XD
But I do have a couple questions.... Who's file did you use for the pilot helmet?

Cause I'm using's jtm1997's file, and it's now twice this helmet is giving me troubles.... First time I didn't touch the scale, thinking it was fine. But when I built it, it was huge; it doesn't even fit my 6'4" bf, even seems massive on him... So I scaled it down to I think like 10" for height or something like that, and I'm almost done building it, but it seems like it'll JUST fit my head; pretty much no room for padding or breathing... lol
So I'm curious, if you did use jtm's file, what did you scale yours at?

WoW 6'4 . thats a whole lot of boyfriend lol. I also used jtm1997's file. I just did a lot of bondo work to it. I also did not touch the scale. The helmet is kinda high but the width is just fine. I think i have 2 1/2 in between the the top of my head and the roof of the helmet. but thats nothing foam wont fix

So I finally tested my homemade vacuum forming machine.

I must say, you have a fantastic build happening here, I am very seriously going to check out the Minicel foam for my own stuff.

The one question I have is where you got the file for the Grenadier kneepads, or if you scratchbuilt them.

Again, amazing work, it is really quite inspiring.

Dang it. Thats what I get for commenting after I've been awake for 30 hours. Lol
Still a great looking visor.

Hopefully I did not just lose all creadibility on these forums, lol.

No you haven't but you may have lost some street cred. Lol, J/k.

P.S. I'm deducting 1 point.
