Got the Biceps and Shoulders shaped and the strapping completed.

I'm going to do some experiments on scrap parts later to see if I can't get the seams to blend better.
Strapping:
5616129978_59a2b91dc1.jpg

It's 2 pieces of elastic that hold the pieces securely in place over my Bicep.
The shoulder is attached with two Chicago screws so that it has wiggle room.

I also got the Cod and Thighs shaped but I think my cat stole the belt I will be using so I will have to upload pics when I find it.

Outer:

Inner:

The tape is only there while the glue on the strapping cures.
It has one piece of elastic near the elbow and a piece of elastic with a bit of Velcro near the wrist.

Elbow pieces:

Elbow front:

Elbow side:

I will be adding on the various raised details on the elbow using 3mm craft foam.
The elbow will also attach with Chicago screws and a small piece of Velcro to have game accurate screw heads and simple functionality.

I've run into a bit of a snag with the shins and boots.
I have my 3D renders to base the templates off of but I don't have any reference images of them to know if I should use the textured or smooth side for each piece.
I don't own the game myself but if anyone could take a few screen shots of the lower legs for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Got one of the shins done today.

I forgot to take a picture of the parts so here is the sheet after they have been removed:

Instead of shaping my parts to get the pieces that frame the knee to the proper angle I used 3mm foam on the back of the edge of my 1/2 foam to give it the desired look:

I will work on the other shin and the boots tomorrow.

I've decided to use silicone caulk to smooth out all of the seams and gaps and then I will give it a layer of spray can Plasti Dip prior to painting and EL wiring.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the weekend, I got sidetracked by another project(link in my signature).

I have the 2nd shin about 95% assembled but I need to buy some more superglue to finish it up.

Both shins:

The knee plate on the right isn't attached but it will be identical to the left when finished.
I also made a new belt out of 1 1/2 inch nylon webbing since I can't find the original:

I am out of my EVA foam tiles at the moment so expect the next update to be of work on the helmet and possible a small update on the thighs.

Ah, the Blood Dragon Armor. I personally liked the look of it better in Dragon Age, but it's still awesome in Mass Effect. And so far, your's is looking amazing - your foam work is epic! Keep us posted!

Thanks for the compliments.
I have actually been considering doing the Dragon's Age Blood Dragon out of this foam as well, It would be way down the line though.

If there's a pep file of the Dragon Age (or DA2) Blood Dragon Armor, that would be one of the first on my list of suits to make.

I did a little work on the boots today using some scrap pieces of foam.
The heel piece isn't attached yet and I will most likely revise some areas of it but I wanted to see what you all thought so far.

It's basically just a foam spat that fits around a cheap canvas shoe:

Of course the seams will be smoothed out prior to finishing so please ignore those for now.

Finalized the design for the boot and got the heel piece attached.
The sides needed to be raised a small bit to fit properly over my foot.

The spat seems to rest fine on the shoe but I think I may add some Velcro to the toe and heel to hold it more firmly in place.
Sorry for no update on the helmet yet, it's been raining so I can't get much work done on it.

I finished the other boot tonight and comprised a short write up on the assembly.

I began with the lower rim.
It is a band of foam the height of the shoe's tread reinforced on the underside with a piece of re-purposed coat hanger embedded and held with hot glue to prevent it from losing its shape as the spat does not attach directly to the shoe.

Glued:

Each section is created using 5 separate pieces aside from the toe which has 3 pieces and the heel which is 1 piece with a craft foam overlay(not pictured) to smooth out the surface.

Completed Boots:

The layer effect was created using the same lap joint method as the thigh and bicep pieces.

Small update:
I'm remaking the helmet cause this one is a a little on the small side(wish I would've noticed that prior to Rondo).
I may sell the smaller one to fund the project, the opening will fit a head up to 150mm ear to ear with some trimming.
PM for details if interested.

Believe me, if I had access to a game ripped model I would get it ready for pep in a heartbeat.
Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age 2? And how would I go about ripping it? Can I do it somehow in Gmax?

Also, do you still need reference photos of the Blood Dragon Armor in Mass Effect 2? I can probably get you some screen captures...they gave me a free copy since I bought DA2.

Either version would work though I haven't the foggiest idea of how to rip them.
Some references of the shins and boots would be great, I mostly just need to see which textures to use as I have game models to get the shapes from. Might be a bit too late if I need to change anything on them now though. Always future revisions I suppose.

Sorry for the lack of updates this past week but I've been helping some family members move.
I rescaled the helmet to fit my head with room for padding which I had neglected to take into account on the first one.
I also added in detail on the respirator areas as well as smoothed this chin to cut down on Bondo time.

Helmet(notice recessed bands around respirators and smooth chin):

Compared to V1 Helmet:

I will Resin and Rondo this piece within the next few days when I find the time.
