youre a machine!!! this is going so freakin fast!! why exactly did you use glass on the outside instead of bondo to smooth it? just curious

there is bondo under the glass, the glass just helps to bring the entire "Plane" together

today's progress:

Continued "leveling: the chest piece (which took most of the day). Worked on the front Facing of the chest mostly, and the Shoulder vent parts. Also Glassed the neck part on the outside to help level it. I may leave it as just glass because of the nice texture... Not sure though. Started glassing the cod piece, which I will work on in between coats of the chest. Also started leveling the back of the chest today. Hope to have the chest done and ready for molding this Sunday, if things keep going this "smooth" ;p

I'm not sure what's more painful, atm - that joke...or my mind trying to conceive your amazing progress just after being blasted with both Pandorica episodes of Dr. Who for the first time.

Seriously, dude - this is getting beyond scary how fast and accurately you're putting this together.

...think you could net an entry in the Guinness Book for this?

Got the front "facing" of the chest plane-ed out to a shape I like finally, so I'm moving on to the rest of the piece now. I've got the two shoulder bumps sized up and "squared" off, and started plane-ing out the back. I've decided that the back wasn't out far enough for me so I added some cardboard to increase it's height the "cheap" way. After glassing that over I started smoothing with bondo when I hit my time limit for today. So without further delay here are today's progress pics.

That looks amazing Ben! Really outstanding work! I wish I had a few extra hours each day so I could work on my armor more. Maybe like 28 hour days? Lol

Sorry for the lack of updates yesterday, I helped set up wireless internet and other computer devices at My Dad's Lodge all day. I have school today but I hope to get some more work done tonight on the chest.

Not much done yesterday. More sanding on the chest, cut out the Neck part so that I can make if more accurate, and resumed work on the Gauntlet.

More pep work, did this in the downtime between coats of junk drying. Model is by fat hi-555, did my own unfold, but here is one supplied in his thread.

This is going great. Its just amazing how fast this one is going, And the parts are looking really good. Try Nicks Collar seal concept It might help on you'res. it took me a few hours to due up but you probably have it done in a hour. Keep us posted I'd like to see what this build looks like all done and painted, shouldn't be to long a wait at this pace. Thanks again for sharing it with us.

Started doing detail work on the front of the chest today. Also did a lot of bondo work on the "Padding" area to start smoothing it out. Got the Gauntlet to 98% complete (just have to sand it and prep for molding). Also worked on the cod a bit with left-over bondo, still needs a lot of work but the suits progressing nicely.
