Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off^ Just thought it would be fitting to say it because you don't want to piss the Hulk off either. :p But I can also agree, a lot of people seem to be heading to the foam path. I think its great, its easier to make, easier to move in and its not as expensive as buying so much card stock to build a whole suit. Plus you don't have to do all that cutting with the paper. IM0, Foam is better.
Well its still alot of cutting but its def less expensive and less time consuming than glassing/bondo and takes a little more creativity but I love foam. If you look at Timecons foam thread you can see how amazing it can really become in the right hands. None will ever be as great, well maybe Nick Nack Patty Wack lol. we shall see, that dudes off tha chain! Im still an amateur.

Did some practicing with blackwash on a shoulder I made and I gotta say the results are fantastic. Ill be doing this on everything from now on check it out:

Great job on the weathering! Really looks like it will be armor that went through hell and back. Can't wait to see the rest! :)

Yea I still need some practice with it I think I just need to let the black sit for a minute. I want the color to be more flat/dull and less glossy. hopefully I can get it spot on. Thanks for your feedback!

YES!, I sent it to the right place :p, Haha it looks great.

You might want to take a dremel with either the cutting wheel or the engraving tool and cut into the right vent, next to the mouth and deepen/widen the line to match the left side.

And BTW, I had the low spots circled, and sorry for the drawing I was bored and decided my casts needed faces.

haha yea its cool. the helmet is great man i appreciate it. i havent got to dremel at all i just took a mouse sander to it to smooth out the rough bits. Im not worthy! lol

Dude, that's fricking sweet. I suggest black washing the silver to grime it up a bit and bring out the detail.

Yea I did blackwash but I can't get it to dull te colors anymore than that. I'm prolly doin it wrong lol. Are there any tutorials?

You could spray black paint on and almost immediately wipe it off with a rag(small areas at a time), or water some acrylic black paint down, and then brush it on. You'd probably let it sit for 10-15sec and then wipe that off.

The build looks great so far!

Ok thanks for the tip I usually have it about a 3:1 water to paint ratio. I did some of the ole spray paint wipe off technique to highlight the details some more but I think blackwashing looks a lot better. Just gotta perfect it.

Did some more weathering/blackwashing as suggested. what do you guys think? (disregard the foam strips in there lol)
