Hey guys, I am trying a new technique for making a mold. I have a Halo 3 Marine Helmet pepped by my friend the 308-er because I am still practicing my pep and he has his technique down pat. Instead of fiberglassing it, I am going to use Biosculpter, it is a program and machining tool used in the Orthotic and Prosthetic industry to make accurate casts of a persons leg, torso, or head. It uses a handheld scanner wielded by a person to make a 3D image of a real world object to get maximum detail. Since I have a real Marine Helmet, I am able to utilize Bioscultor to it's maximum efficiency (and hope to post vids of how it works). When the "print" comes out of the machine, it needs some touching up due to teh amount of detail lost, it can't get little crevices and needs certain detail to be added, but I am more than confident I can do this. At the moment I cannot post pics of the Pep piece due to Photobucket turning all of my pics into mobile sized pics (anyone know how to transfer these to Tinypic?) So By tonight I should have an OK to post more info on my technique.
Plus I am also working on a magnetic holster for my Taurus airsoft gun (yes I am not 18 yet and can't afford the real deal, and hey, the airsoft gun is way lighter and easier work with, I am modifying it to look like a M6 Socom)
