Well that's all i have for now folks, I've been working hard to get this project done and i will continue to do so. Of course the goal is to be done by Halloween!

As always let me know what y'all think so far. I would love to have your feedback on the chest core!
Thanks for all the support and comments so far guys!!

Back into hell!!

Chest core is looking awesome man! Always feels good to have a big part of your build done. Nice BR too, looks really solid!

Great work!

Thanks man,

It does feel really good, kind of makes the 4 months that have gone into this all worth it!

And yes the BR is very solid, and a little wide lol, its 2" wide but my size makes it look about right lol

looking good man like how you went with the foam shins it is so much nicer trust me did it for comic con on my odst this year. but cant wait to see more of this build.

Hey all!

Sorry i have been away for so long. School has been in full swing and my art classes have kept me away from working on the armor. Though as October has begun i have vowed to return to this project with full force! Mainly because its really getting cold and I need to finish this thing before the weather stops me and especially in time for Halloween!

So this all being said I'm currently waiting for the bondo to set on my helmet so i can go out and sand it up some more! I have managed to start cutting the detail into the top of the helmet and the visor has been opened up so i can install a plastic one once i have finished painting and detailing. The major problems I'm having right now are the fact that some of the interior edges of the helmet are too weak (from lack of rondo reaching them) so they are cracking. In light of this I'm going to have to go in fill the spaces to strengthen it up again.

Well folks that's a quick status report for now. I will try and get some pics up tonight so y'all can see what i'm working on.

Stay tuned more to come!

Big Easy, out...

Ok sorry for the double post but I got Pictures!

Heres the helmet where i left off today...

more to come folks... i'm trying to bang this one out this week!!

Nice build so far! I'm definitely looking to your ODST foam torso peice for reference. I wasn't sure how to pull of those sholder straps and I haven't been able to work on the actual ARMOR part of my ODST in awhile. I'm a little envious of your fairly speedy build progress, keep up the good work!

Thanks iancorrao!

I honestly didn't think anyone would be using my work for reference so thats rly great to hear. As for the shoulder straps they are one piece that basically helps connect the front and back plates together. The hardest part for me was judging their width and then finally connecting them. I used a ton of hot glue then took it out on a hot day to paint it and the straps started coming apart at weak points that i had not seen. Its pretty sturdy now so i think i worked the kinks out. You should take a look at Rino's ODST build as he provides diagrams that helped me to build the chest core. heres the link...

Hope that helps a little man, good luck your work looks great so far!

And to everyone else I plan on working the helmet more tonight so hopefully more pics to come!

Ok... sorry about that I'm just a little over excited because hey! (drum roll) I GOT MY HELMET DONE!!!

Well there it is folks!
Just under a week of intense bondo and sanding and that's what I've got.

So now that I'm a little calmer i will be the first to admit its not perfect (far from it) there are certainly cosmetic issues and a few lines that i could have gotten to run a little straighter (ok alot straighter) but hey if i have learned anything from this project its that almost everything looks better with paint....

OK! i lied maybe not everything..... -___-

Anyway all jokes aside folks, tell me what you think like anyone i love feedback on my work so i can make it even better.

So instead of an update on the armor i wanted to show y'all a little side project....
