I marched in Canada's third longest parade this past Saturday, the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Parade.

And some video -

My friends and I make an appearance at about the 1:39 mark:

Here we are at about the 2:30 point:

Looked like it was fun who was the guy with the sword supposed to be, and the guy with the Space marine armor was intresting.

Awesome! Wish we could do this over in Singapore but the weather would probably kill us lol

It was a beautiful sping day, 24 degrees C (approx 78F), cloudy with sunny breaks and a slight breeze. I had both helmet fans on full blast and an ice-pack under the chest piece.

The entire route was 2.5 Km (approx 1.5 miles). We were very near the front, and were planning on riding the shuttle back to the starting point to get to our cars when the parade was done. After waiting an hour for the parade to finish so the bus would run, we got bored and decided to walk back. The parade lasted another hour.

We posed for a lot of pictures on the walk back:

did this raise any awareness of other would be or shy costumers in your area. i know that where i live there is a stormtrooper, somewhere, but other than me, i dont know of anyone else in my local area? so were you arrpoached by fellow costumers?

Kudo's on the parade.
Look's like you had a blast!
Wish I was there to join in on the fun.

... so were you arrpoached by fellow costumers?

Actually yes we were! There was someone in the crowd who approached our Stormtrooper to get some information about us. The very next day we made an appearance at the local Walk for MS and he showed up in a Boba Fett costume:

LongShot - The flight from Vancouver to Halifax only stops once (Edmonton or Toronto), you could be here in about 10 hours :)

Awesome! Looks like you had a great time, and with your amazing looking suit to boot. :) Thanks for sharing the photos!

Thanks Spit, "trooping" the costume has indeed been a blast!

Here's a "twitter" mention of me and my friends by the Prostate Cancer Society regarding our efforts to support their upcoming Father's Day Walk/Run: http://yfrog.com/h0pbgedaj

I'm moving to Ottawa this summer, which is about 500 miles north of Washington, hopefully we'll end up at an event together and I can see your awesome "low-def" costume up close.

its brilliant to see you getting awareness in such an interesting and fantastic way. really makes me want to do somthing like this.

My costuming group has raised $1000 for the fight against prostate cancer! On Father's Day (19 June) the Prostate Cancer Society of Canada is hosting a series of fund raising walks across the country. My group (Maritime Heavy Armour) has 'trooped' twice through the downtown of Halifax Nova Scotia, posing for pics and asking for change donations to support this great cause. So far, our efforts have raised $1000! All that's left is the 5 Km walk this coming Sunday.

Here we are in action:

On Saturday the 30th of July I joined the organizers and supporters of Hal-Con, the fan run science fiction and fantasy festival in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada ( http://hal-con.com/ ) in marching in the annual Natal Day parade.

After marching about 5 km (about 3 miles) in almost 30 degree (90ish F) I still still had just enough energy to bust a move when an oldies radio station set up next to where my friends and I were gathering at the parades finish point:
