Hey guys, i would like to share my build of the NCR ranger.
Now i know normally that threads about a build is always posted when it is in progress but i actually already finished the build. I made it in summer vacation for a convention i would go so it was not a slow perfected build, but it is my first succeful armor build.
Anyway i will share pics of my progress with some explanation, altough regretfully i haven't got pictures of every fase(pepping, resin, bondo) But i hope it will suffice for some.
OH YA!And i looked a lot at Kommissar's thread from his own NCR ranger build, A SPECIAL THANKS FOR KOMMISSAR FOR SHARING HIS KNOWLEDGE!
Not all pictures are supersharp(damn my shaky hands)This is the helmet when it was in bondo, the filters you see in the pic was made from scratch out of cardboard and resined it.The lenses you see were later attached inside the helmet.(It were sunglass lenses that i found conveniently somewhere)
A bit sharper picture.Since i was in a little hurry( I had the vacation to finish this costume) I covered and glued the filters and the attachments with plastic from cola bottles.Suprisingly it did look decent and bought me some time for the rest of the armor.
I have to add as well that when i noticed that the parts where i should overlap each other i was actually completely smooth! So i took a vile and made lines in the parts where i wanted it.
Was checking out if it fitted. I fitted alright, but it was a bit tight.
After i painted the helmet, and added weathering to it. I got this.
Oh ye the tube you see hanging out was a bikepump tube haha, more to follow in next post.
