Hey guys! After getting back to work with building armour, Ive gotten started with hy helm first. So being a 100% scratch builder, I found that making a HUL, or mostly any other attachment was easier done than said.
Supplies list: Small LED flsahlight---$1.30
Sheet Of FoamBoard---$1
Hot Glue---$1 (ammounts of sticks vary)
Hot Glue Gun--Already had
Prices may vary, but this stuff wont be that expensive.
Step 1: Cut out, then glue 3 rectangles the same size as the base of the flashlight. Leave the light and button open. Then once your done that, glue that to a rectangular piece, scaled to a flat angle on your helmet, and glue it together.
It should be something like this:
Or for more technical things, use a thicker FoamBoard,
The same results apply to each 1 sheet of FoamBoard regular=3sheets of Foam Board THick
Step 2: Cover up any open faces of the actual Foam using anything you like.
Step 3: Attach whatever you want as estetics, and enjoy!
After Step 1, It really depends on what you want to build. Here's some pics of what I made:
The Back
THe Front
The Side
Note: You can attach each pece using velcro on the flat side of your FoamBoard, or use magnets
Enoy guys, I hope this helps.
