Skyrim Pepakura Files

I believe the only difference is this:
Light- less armor, less weight, no fancy shoulders
Regular- base armor, base wieght, has fancy shoulders
Gilded/heavy-more armor, more weight, has fancy shoulders

Regular and gilded/heavy look the same

Ah, ok. Thanks.

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum and Pepakura, and I was wondering what a decent Skyrim file to start with would be. I'm looking to make prop weapons for a Renn Faire I'm going to, and I don't want to start with something I don't actually want. I was considering starting with like the Dawnguard Rune Axe or Mehrunes' Razor. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome Baymax!
Are you looking for a easy starter build? Both files look like good starters, not too many or too complicated parts, simple design. I'd probably try the Axe, simply because I think axes are more interesting than daggers and the dagger has a lot of tiny spikes at the hilt that could be fiddly to build.

Sorry for the double post but I thought I'd share my progress on the Spriggan Zombiegrimm did a while ago:

The shape was really complicated so it took me all Sunday to not only cover it - but also to sculpt a bark-like texture with a material that was really hot. But when it started to take shape I had a lot of fun sculpting and I think I'll definitively do a project like that again. I really love organic designs.

EDIT: decided to attach the second set of antlers permanantly, go BIG!
sprigg13.jpg

It's more or less done - I may add a ridge or two where I attached the secolnd set of antlers but that's it more or less. Right now I am very happy with the result.

Wow, amazing work on the elven armor! It's making me consider doing a badass Thalmor cosplay, hmm... Thanks so much for making this, Zombie, I can't wait to try some of these pieces out. I've always loved the eagle motif.

That Spriggan mask build is seriously awesome. I'm working on one myself, just have to finish the unattached horns. I'd give you advice on wearing it, but I'm planning on mounting the whole thing on a plaque and hanging it on my wall, so I'm afraid I've got no clue!

Any chance we could get the steel war axe? I love that one. :) I'd also love the guard shield, but that's more of a pipe dream than anything. I think it'd be awesome to make each hold shield someday.

Thanx a lot for sharing those files ( i am making a great armor ) and thanx to Kuraudo who unfolded them....Now my question is : how to create those files ? i mean , what is the path to create the file starting from an image ( as he did with skyrim armor ) . I wish to know how to "translate" images caught in the web to a pepakura file. can someone explain the procedure ,please?
thank you for the attention

I haven't posted any of my builds before, but this little sweetroll was too cute to resist.

Not sure how I'm going to finish off that last bit to be glued (I always get tripped up at the very end!), but once I do, I think I'm gonna try my hand at Worbla. I think it could give it a texture close enough to the cake so that I wouldn't have to paint it. And then Apoxie Sculpt and high gloss acrylic paint for the 'icing' part. It'll be a nice addition to my nerd shelf, or an interesting pencil cup for my desk. It was a really satisfying build. Thanks for making the file, Zombie!

Hello once again, fellow Skyrim fans! I spent a lot of time working on these files. Lots of hanging/ floating pieces so I had to take artistic liberties to make most of them work. I also ended up using Heavy armor instead of Light armor. I hope you all appreciate the time it took. This was not my favorite set to unfold, but here it is in all its' glory. This just means that I'm a little step closer to making the weapons work. Hopefully. Anyway, I'm in the middle of moving, so the next batch will be a little longer than usual. I'm also gearing up for several comic con related events, and other amazing stuff I can't yet talk about. So, I've got a few projects in the middle of finishing. Making a life size Bulbasaur, and trying to finish my Darksiders Death costume. But enough about me, let's get to the meat, the new files for you! Elven armor!

I know people have asked multiple times. But is there anyway you can repost the links to the nightingale pieces you have unfolded.
And would you happen to know if anyone has laid out the actual armor itself? Thank you Zombie!

He's said quite a few times that the armor wouldn't translate well to pepakura, so I would not be surprised if there aren't any unfolds for it. I haven't seen any, personally, and I've been setting up plans for a Nightingale cosplay for almost half a year now.

Hello once again, Skyrim fans. Kuraudo helped me get the 3d models way back when I started, but I (ZombieGrimm) am the only one who unfolded all of these files. I created the pepakura files and I decided to share them with everyone. Basically the King of Skyrim here. I'm in the middle of moving so no new files yet. I'll take a shot at the staffs next. Nightingale armor is all basically leather so it doesn't translate well. All I made is a template for the mask piece. If you go to my Deviantart page, the gallery has a search bar. Use it to find the Nightingale mask.

I'm new here and have been trying to download files to print but have been having trouble. Can anyone recommend a program that will allow me to open the files and print them. I have never done this before so just thought I'd ask.

These files open in pepakura which is made by a Japanese company tamasoft. There is a free viewer, and a feature limited designer available for free, as well as a paid version for $30.

Hello Skyrim fans. I had a person recently post stating that someone else was unfolding these models and that all I was doing was sharing. First off, that's not true and I wanted you, the fans, to know I wouldn't post someone else's work unless I had their permission. I, ZombieGrimm, have been unfolding and posting by myself. No one is helping me unfold, unless we mention foam. Others are changing my files to foam, which is fine. I'm not doing that, I release to you the original paper files that I have built. To have my work credited to another bothers me, as I have spent several hundred hours making these templates. Until we clear this up, I am stopping unfolding for the time being. Once cleared up and we all know I do my own work, I'll take some requests and release more files.

The only thing better then stopping would be putting on a password on all your files.. Nothing bothers freeloaders more the passwords. :devil

I see your point. This is just about giving credit. It seems I'm always fighting a battle over crediting the right person.

That's f*cked up zombie. This is your thread and your project and for some troll to steal credit is underhanded. I've unfolded Skyrim stuff but I'd never a) post it in your thread or b) try and take credit for your or anyones work.

I'm glad you see what I mean. It's been a long project, and to push my name aside is bothersome. I've given a lot back, and helped create a wonderful Skyrim community of passionate followers. I've never asked anything in return except to be given the credit of creating these templates. Ok, sometimes I do ask for a gift, but I don't stop if nothing is given. Believe me, I love getting work from fans. To take the time to make something and send it touches me and I show it off like it's the single greatest thing I've ever seen.

If more people post about this matter, I'll start taking suggestions for the next batch of files, that I create.

But thank you for your honesty.

Dear Zombie, If i find someone claiming your work as their own....i can promise you I will strike at them will the full strength of the Wolf Pack. You have the Norse Vikings Word.

I agree with Hobbitdude13. That is really messed up. You continued this project even though you sliced your hand open...still put files out there for free. Battled with your post military health issues... still put out files. Even took requests when you asked people to be patient. I and i'm sure others that follow your work, don't blame you for stopping. You deserve respect for you work, this is time spent that you receive no pay for. Thank you for what you have done for the Skyrim fans. Hopefully you will feel like continuing some day.

I'm really sorry to hear about this, Zombie. Can't imagine how crappy someone has to be to pull a stunt like this. If I see anybody claiming your work as their own, I'll definitely strike 'em down! In the meantime, I totally understand you wanting to take a break. And as always, I really appreciate this project. You've put out some astounding work.
