Hey guys,

I thought you might be interested in this Kickstarter project of mine. It's a microcontroller which makes it easy to add lights sounds and motion to your props:

Basically, the way it works is you just plug in some LEDs and switches, a speaker, and battery, and then write a little code in BASIC which you put on a MicroSD card along with the sounds you want.

There are also addon boards available for attaching vibration motors and high power LEDs, for simulating weapons fire. Lasers can be controlled as well.

Here is an example of a prop using the same sort of LED bulbs you can use with the 12v Boost Module:

Oh, and just so you know I'm legit, I'm a long time member of the Replica Prop Forum, and a well known seller of electronic circuits for Ghostbusters props. Here's a video of one of my most recent creations which does a lot of the same things my microcontroller can do:

Please note, that unlike my microcontroller, the above board does not have an amp in it, so the sound is much quieter than the sound on the MIGHTY will be.

Here also is a link to a lot of the props I've built on the RPF:

Anyway, my Kickstarter is now just past the halfway point, and there's only two weeks before the campaign ends. So check it out. I'm not super familiar with all the weapons in the Halo universe, but I'm a big fan of Red vs. Blue, so I know a lot of them have blinking lights and make sounds and such, which is why I thought you might be interested in something like this which makes adding those things easy.

And don't forget, it's a servo controller too. I don't remember if the Halo armor has any moving parts, but if it, or any of the weapons do, this can make those work as well.

Good luck with your kickstarter. At $100 it sounds expensive to most people, but I see it as a bargain for no hassle programmable lights and sound control.

Thanks guys. If there's something that would make it more useful for a particular prop, let me know. I'm currently designing several addon kits with boards that have LEDs and switches for Proton Packs and Predator bomb timer gauntlets. For example, the Predator one has some alien alphanumeric displays, and the Ghostbusters ones are short and long bar graphs.

Kickstarter ends in 10 days, and it's gonna be pretty tight on making the goal, so every contribution counts.
