Hello 405th. I'm planing to order some rebound 25 and I don't have the money to buy smooth cast 320. Would there be any problem with using rondo for casting? I'm curious if it will cause any damage to the mold.

Thanks for your time

Jico

The Rondo won't damage the mold but the cast will be fragile unless you add some fibergalss cloth to help strengthen the Rondo

I have not tried this but I think it would be a good idea to use the bondo and resin hardeners. Rondo can be a little tacky without the resin hardener. What did you mold? If it was something big like a helmet, with enough rondo to give it good strength, it could get heavy. I can't think of why it wouldn't work.

I've used fiberglass and polyester resin in a silicone mold and had no problems. Rondo should work just fine. It will not be as strong as fiberglass or smooth cast, but it will work.
