HI,
I finished my son's halo suit thanks to all the help I got on the 405th!

I had to do some customizing to get the suit done, and it is not screenshot accurate. The $20 helmet was store bought, but the rest I made as a newbie in about 4 days.
I also painted his battery ride on to match the look.

with his mongoose.....

I used Krylon olive satin...much darker than the oregano, and the Krylon seemed to dry faster--- I finished the final coat at 3am on Oct. 30 :)

I sealed with latex caulk and then plastidip'ed, and krylon'ed over that for everything but his codpiece and belt which was plastidip camo. After trick or treating there are a bunch of wrinkles, but no cracking.

I used the thicker square eva mats for most, but the slightly thinner mat in a roll from sears for the arm and leg cylindrical wraps. The rolled mats were a pain since they wanted to keep the curl from the roll.
It was much easier starting with a flat piece like the square (thicker) mats.

So thanks again...

wow so i wasn't the only one that make a suit for family, my little bother went as an ODST as did i and the AR he was holding was normal size so it looks like a machine gun and not an AR, but next year you should make a gun for him it well make the most of it.

That's adorable! The mongoose totally sells it, even with the cheap helmet. Epic job for 4 days work! It probably would have taken me a month to make the suit and paint up the ATV with mongoose colors.
