Just a couple of pix from RTX 2014 - many more to come - walked the floor with Cortana most of the afternoon and tomorrow it is ODST day Used my old chest & cod, as the new ones just weren't going to be ready in time, but the shins & boots were ready. Of course a lot of things broke and will need repair, but they survived the day & that was all I asked for

Those are some good pics you got. Your red ODST still looks awesome even if you don't match the cover of Halo 3: ODST. Looking up is so overrated haha.

So, still haven't finished the new chest & cod, but in the meantime my Mk VI joined the fun at Classic Gaming Fest in Austin last weekend. While Halo: Combat Evolved isn't a "Classic" age-wise, it and the series that followed have certainly carved their place in gaming history! We suited up to debut our fan film DVMC, and hung around for a few pictures:

So, a few updates - got my SAW - it is fricking huge, but accurate to scale, according to the Halo 4 visual guide:





We did another screening for our movie, DVMC, this time at Cabo Bob's Burritos in Austin. We ran it on a loop, along with the blooper reel. Good turnout & always fun to be in armor

Yes, the ODST next to me is that tall...did a photoshoot before the event - this is one of my favorites (photo credit Vivid Disaster Studios)



I went to Alamo City Comic Con on Sunday. Unfortunately, I missed Steven Downes & Jen Taylor...had a family emergency on Saturday and couldn't make it to their table Sunday due to being constantly mobbed for photographs! That is what happens when I am out & about with Cortana





I did debut my new, "smaller" chest piece. It is going to need some additional work, but survived the day



We also held a panel for the movie - not a bad turnout & people enjoyed it. Had a few ask about armor during the Q&A session, and I directed them to 405th.com for all things Halo armor



Chief & Cortana will be out & about on 11/11/14 for the Master Chief Collection launch, probably at the Microsoft Store in San Antonio - pics to come and then it will be time to start my H4 build!

Thanks, guys! It will probably always be a work in progress...but every little bit makes it more fun (and sometimes more comfortable...) to wear

What happened to that Saw of yours? Did you not take it to the convention? I don't see it in any of the pictures.

I'm the same way, I don't think I'll ever truly consider my project finished, but I will at least try to finish things in stages or phases. I might make 5 chest pieces, but at some point, you have to call check piece #1 finished lol.

SAW is sitting in the corner of my office....waiting for me to work on it I hate to say it, but I have been playing Destiny in all my free time instead of working on armor/props!

I have exactly a month till MCC Launch...should probably get to work. After I get my Warlock to lvl 20 and some legendary armor for my Titan, though

I have a Halo 4 MC bucket, all nice and green - almost completely masked off to apply the silver and black paint and weather it,...ohhh...a new farming spot on Venus! BRB...
