Looking great, and I really love the color scheme. It's difficult to find a good dark silver/metal color, but you've nailed it.

Sick helmet! And I love the paint job on the suit so far, nice job!
Thanks, man!

This is amazing! Your helmet mods are just the work of a genius! I have to ask tho. How did you get those scratches on it armor to look so good? The black on metal color scheme just looks fantastic! How was it done?
I take a rather large and messed up looking brush and drybrush black on the edges, then do the same with silver. I can try and make a tutorial if you'd like.

Loving the way you are sealing the back neck portion of that helmet!! I was considering adding a seal to the front lower chin/neck of my helmet, I noticed I am missing that based on the halo reach pictures I've been looking at. Now You've given me ideas :p.
Thanks! Yeah, foamies are great for little details like that on your bucket.

Looking good man.
Thank you!

Thanks! When I saw that color I knew I had to use it. It's called 'Dark Bronze' and it's made by Krylon, in case you wanna use it in the future! :)

*UPDATE*

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't updated in a while. I hate showing WIP pictures of the paint process because I feel like it draws away from the final reveal; So I waited and patiently got my helmet finished and now I have pictures of, what I deem, the best paint job I've ever done. I'm very proud of how it turned out and now I'm unbelievably excited to finish my suit. Here, see for yourself:

Honestly this is one of my favorite parts of my helmet, I used some left over decals from my Gundam models to make a warning label. So authentic! :3

Here's the inside. It's nice 'n' cozy.

Again, I'm VERY happy with how it turned out and I hope you all like it too! I took it to our local 'Friday Geek Gathering' last night and everyone adored it... And I got some future customers (I get to make a Bolter! :D )!
Take care, everyone!

That looks awesome man, that paint job is excellent and the fit looks perfect. Keep it up man.

Thanks, man!

I would love a tutorial for that :D in thought that that visor was solid helmet till I saw the inside the paint really compliments it well, awesome helmet bro!

*sniffle* That's one of the prettiest things I've ever seen! I do love red, and the metal looks like metal. Stellar. Gorgeous. I would enjoy seeing a tutorial for your painting job too, if you put one up. :)

I saw the chest, and I said, this is going to be a great build. I saw the helmet, and I said, no, not great, but ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Dare I mention "elite?"

nice work. can't wait till you are done. I just got one question, working with foam, it it easier to work with then Card stock. I do all of my work with card stock.

looks pretty sweet, I would personaly give the red a lite tint so it looks a bit dark so you can't see your face so easy other wise keep up the good work.

Your work is absolutely beautiful!!! I didn’t think with this material we can achieve such a result.
Actually I start making a Halo armor, I use pepakura but the results are disappointing for the torso recon…
So I'll try to make my armor in foam

I look forward to see more!!!

My eyes fell out of my face when I saw that Locus helmet. BEAUTIFUL WORK! I'm tempted to repaint my armor now, or at least start to detail. So jealous of your painting skills!

DEFINITELY FOLLOWED!

I want my build on my Scout Armor to be just like yours. Are you scratch building or are you using pepakura?

Ah, I hate myself for losing touch with this site over the past few months because I've missed out on threads like this. It's all so beautiful T^T. The painting, weathering, templates- all so amazing! I do hope you're still working on it!

Im really jealous of that helmet. The paint looks amazing and the way you put the back-off idea is really well thought. I might have to use that if I ever have to do something similar.

Wow. No seriously WOW!

That is some gorgeous work so far! Clean foam work and drop dead beautiful paint work!! I'm also very impressed with the piston mechanism for the helmet. How is that holding up so far? I need to go back and look but did you also paint over the visor with your paint job?

Great work, keep it up!
