Just a quick update. Sorry with no pics yet but my fiance and i have been busy with trying to get a home for our property. Now as well I am being Mr.Mom due to her going back to work and myself getting laid off. But I got the back brace of the helmet complete. Trying to find the next mounting pieces from there. Pics soon I promise guys and gals.

Sorry to hear about you getting laid off man, screw this recession. Good luck getting back out there on your feet! And good luck with this build.

Lil tight getting it on but I am going to design a way to unlatch the chinguard with visor so I can slip it on over my head once it is covered in fiberglass and bondo

Good progress so far! It looks like you've done some clean pepping with this one. I also did Hugh's second helmet, and I found that I like it's design a lot more than others due to the modular pieces. Just one question, are you planning to make the rest of your armor out of foam, or using the fiberglass method?

As of right now I am planning on pep with some small foam sheet we got for details. I am going back and looking a lot over on Reach for the details. Once I start this new job I should have more money to do foam. But I need more paper, ink, and some other stuff to make things work right.

Well folks all I got this time is near completion of the peping. I am about 90 percent done. I got some small bits left and then the helmet is ready for resin and bondo. Got to admit I am super excited about this.

Thanks for the support all. I saw hugh made a Visor template for none vacuum forming going to look into that. After i got it all resined up obviously.

Very good job on the helm, I notice often that it can be hard to get the proportions/ form of the ODST right but I think you nailed it. Keep it up.

It is very hard but I have plenty of experience with Card stock paper. I just got like 3 pages to cut out add and do the foam and be done and then have to get all the goodies to make the process go on.

Here we go the Pep work is all done. I got to go and buy all the resin and bondo to get this ball going farther. Then comes the fun of the visor. I realized now that I have chosen one of the hardest visors in the Halo universe next to EVA, Orbital, and other huge visors.

ok I am having issue with making the vents on the helmet near the chin section. Would it be easier to look at other files to see if there is a pep file or make it out of foam? I am just trying to make this final because my father in-laws shop is about to open up for my use again. I am ready to resin and get this done.

Just a quick update. I am currently working on the helmet attachments. With this lovely weather in Upstate New York it is hard for me to start doing my resin work. not to mention my fiance is making hard to get one the computer due to all the wedding planning...... Once I get them done I will have pics for ya'll up.

I am back with an update. I finished my attachments....after being half way done and find out i flipped it inside out. Major fail on my part. But now i fixed it and looks sexy to me. Now onto the arms.

Awesome!! Need to see more photos! Excited to see the final product :)

Sooo I got some bad news. I tried my helmet on fully built. It doesn't fit and my ears get in the way and my head is to wide. either I scrap it and try again or. i resin it and modify it the have the visor and chin guard to come off. Either with servos or magnets. Any ideas?
