I was going for a more 'battle damaged' look, so thats why it may seem a bit sloppy. What do you mean by slowing down on painting?

I am working on my boots for my advanced power armor Mk II any suggestions on doing something similar

Most people use boots like I have as a place to secure their foot to the actual boot armor. I would suggest getting some boots that you dont really need or care about too much, then just building the boot armor out of pep and put it over the boot, like a shell. Hope this helps!
