Last pic (Mjolnir Blue) kinda reminds me of the Hayabusa.

It looks more like an updated MkVI armor with new helmet to me. Everything but the helmet looks like modified Chief armor from H4. Oh to get my hands on the game-ripped models if they put the Busa in the game.

I've never read the Halo graphic novels haha. But that certainly looks like it!

And I know these are just teaser renders, but they look like plastic to me.

Lastly, in agreeance with Vrogy, what's with the horrible clipping??? I can understand some clipping in gameplay where they have to be anchored to certain points (parent/child), but in a render with HALF the shoulder part clipping through the chest? C'mon 343i
 
The armor also has 104 (Fred's number) written on it in Braille. Clever 343, very clever.

1) What the heck did they do to the rocket launcher?

2) The SMG looks weird to me. I dont see the side mag on the left hand side. Also, the folding fore-grip is too long. There's no way that would sit flush with the body when folded. A stupid thing to nit pick, I know lol.

As for the armor, it looks a bit better than H4 I suppose, though I dont understand the lack of groin protection...

Guys calm down, these are just the SUBD models they will be using for baking the normals on the low poly models. the clipping can be solved in later phases. most likely the animation phase. Also, the textures will probably be developped after the baking of the normals. So thats why it's got that plastic look.

But to be honest I don't like the overly used greebles on some of the guns.
I do like the AR though. Looks like they turned back to the old design a bit more.

Also it looks like some weapons have RIS rails on them. Possibly for attachements?

I dunno if this is anywhere right, but the rocket seems to resemble many modern-ish launcher designs in reality.
Maybe it was an attempt to make things a tad more realistic in an unreal science fiction world? Honestly dunno how I feel about it.

In any case I'm looking forward to the ever increasing number of greebles.

I like the increased detail/greeblies on the SMG. Feels more "engineered" than "modelled" now. The AR is nice, similar to normal though. It's a classic design.

SR and DMR look the same... Kinda wish they'd "Haloed up" the DMR a bit, it feels like it wouldn't be especially difficult or rewarding to build. SR's always nice though.

Rocket Launcher looks like they've mysteriously reverted to 500-year-old technology, for some reason. As if we suddenly stopped using rifling and saboted rockets and went back to muskets and cannonballs or something. Weird.

BR is always the most interesting, I think. Looks very rounded here, but if this is the sub-d versions to bake normal maps, that makes sense. We'll see more clearly later I suppose, but not too significantly different to the Halo 4 BR85HB I'm building.

No M6, that I noticed? Haven't looked at the videos, admittedly, though is there really anything more that can be done to it at this point anyway?
