I have an update however pictures are a bit scarce. I haven't really been taking many while I work lately, I get pretty focused. Trust that the next update will have plenty of pics.
I have decided to dump the vinyl undersuit idea in favour of a thin EVA one with elastic joints and polypropylene bracing. In the end I figured it would cost less and be considerably easier to repair and create. It's nearly done actually, but I only have pictures of the half painted chest component and an older one of the rest of the pieces when they were incomplete.
All my pep work is done too, and I am getting pretty far into the resin stage, nearly on to glassing some pieces. Barely any warping at all so far as well :D

I hand carved an assault rifle from foam to go with the suit, finished the gloves, and I've resined everything and started fibreglassing.
I've also been creating industrial insertion rubber soles for my boots, seriously, that rubber is nearly unbreakable, it should begin to wear out after 17000km or so ;)
I tried on one leg of armour with the new sole, it stands roughly 7cm higher than my usual height.

I've also got all of the lighting circuits completed and I'm working on the fan setups.

I've put all the boot plates together and fully painted them, all pieces are fiberglassed and I'm hoping to finish up my helmet over this weekend. All my fan circuits are done and I bought a small digital clock to put in my helmet. I also finished up some other smaller pieces like the abdominal plates, CNM and buckler. I also resined a 4 leaf clover into my chest plate, you know, for good luck :)

Out of curiosity, those who have used the fiberglass/resin method of hardening, what was your glass and resin like? Consistency, colour, colour change, clarity, strength etc. Any details would be good, I've noticed some glaring differences in my pieces compared to what I've read about glassed armour and I was wondering if what I have been using is somehow different.

I used something different than standard fiberglass resin, but I'll take some pictures when I get home.

Finished up my helmet and shins.

Well, time to jump ahead to where I am with this project right now.
I tested out how all the armour sat on my undersuit and what not.

The chest plate is the only part left to do, and today I created the magnetic locks, foam parts and primed it. Should be done by Tuesday or Wednesday, complete with lights and internal fans.

I finished the suit and took it for a test run at my school social, everyone loved it and I had loads of fun, I'll go ahead and post a few of the pictures from the night.

I don't like how high angle shots make the legs look shorter, and also the fact that mobile phone cameras can't capture detail. I will have a proper photoshoot soon though so stay tuned.

Wow. Such an amazing work on this armor.
I will take example for some of the parts of mine.

Btw you said that you made your weapon from foam, and then you apply some resin and fiberglass on it?

No, in hindsight it wasn't the best way to make a gun, but I used poor quality extruded polystyrene block and carved detail into it in the same way that Andrew Cook does, then I sealed and smoothed it with gesso. I will definitely make guns differently in the future.

nice to see another EOD in the ranks! this was an awesome build and I cant wait to see the future builds!

Love your build mate.
You did a great job on the paint, the weathering looks awesome!

I am curious as to what you did for your shoulders on your undersuit, looks very interesting, got any more pics? :)

Thanks :D I have some videos with it so I can take whatever screenshots I need. I tried a fairly different approach with some of my undersuit and various strapping setups. On the top of the biceps is a sort of segmented foam piece that follows the curvature of my shoulders, these foam parts have a polypropylene strap and a buckle that attach to the shoulder area of the chest undersuit. You can sort of see what I mean in these pictures.
