I honestly can't get enough of this, I love building stuff. This thread will document the progress of a suit I'm building for a local south Florida spartan to be. I'm building this suit in tandem with my own personal suit (the Master Chief/ Buzz Lightyear thing). Its another scratch build, I really enjoyed putting together the female spartan suit that way.
This suit includes...
Orbital Torso
Rogue Shoulders
XV-27 Shifting Forearms
Over-locking Leg Set
Scout Helmet

I like to start with the torso, its easier for me to scale the other parts against a properly fitting torso. I sketched out the basic structure of the torso on posterboard and made the stencils. I tape them together to make sure everything fits properly before i transfer them to foam. Heres what i have so far. The torso looks a bit small on me, but that's because its being built to someone else's measurements...

Ps, theres no difference between male and female helmets.

Master Builder hey thanks, not sure yet if I'm going to make the helmet or buy a cast, but Iwill ddefinitely give it a looksy. I have good reference pics and models of pretty much everything except the forearms.

Okay chef. that is just creepy minus the Rogue and Scout we are almost twinning, well your friend and I correction, I have EOD with ODST. But I am looking forward to the builds seeing as I have not seen many Orbital chests. good luck bud.

I like where this is going...basic shape of the torso is done, minus the jet pack things and the ab section. Next we start layering on the details...
I also made a nice glowing light for that back plate...

Started working on the big shoulder things, I'll just call them jetpacks from this point on. I think they will look real nice when I'm done with them, lots of layers, and I have a good idea for the circular lights in the middle. Doing a test fitting with its future owner tomorrow, hopefully it fits!

I met the client for a test fitting a few days ago, perfecto! Fits him like a glove. Time to attach the jet packs and work on the underarm detail.

Last week was CRAZY at work, so I haven't made much progress on this build or my other. I did get the basic shape of the jetpack things done, still quite a bit of detail to add but the torso should be done in a couple days.
