I haven't made a new thread here in ages. It feels good to be back :D

Here are some photos of my pepakura build of the Halo 4 Scout helmet, also worn by Commander Sarah Palmer.

File done by Master Builder here on the 405th and can be downloaded from the 405th File Archive here:

I don't have any plans on it other than finishing it to resemble Sarah Palmer. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask!

Nice!!

How would you rate the building difficulty? Any troubles?

PS: are you using 110 lb cardstock, or something heavier?

The building difficulty wasn't bad at all, all the pieces were big enough to cut out by hand comfortably. I would say the hardest pieces were the small pieces around the visor and the back of the helmet (the circle port piece). Overall, a good build.

This helmet is a great piece to learn how to bondo, because of the large surface area, not too many different shapes.

I used 110 lb cardstock for the build!

Thank you for the file Master Builder

How did you do the sizing? I got the same pepakura design from Master Builder but I can't seem to get the bottom pieces big enough to fit my head.

I made mine using the default scale and trimmed the brim of the helmet to make my head fit.

Just out of curiosity: What hat size do you have? I did some measuring on the pepakura models and on my head and from that I have the feeling that it yould fit, but also, I have a rather big head (Hat Size 7 3/4) and I'm pondering if I should scale the default model up a little to start with.

Sure. Try to use the Archive before asking for files, though - 90% of the time the assets you'll want can be found with a little searching.

The other site is down now and I don't have a profile there, so I can't get the PDO file for this or anything.
