Greetings from Finland! Sheriff's Anvil's S411 project

Hail and greetings from snowy and frozy Finland!

I have cosplayed 5 years and year 2014 was massive step with my hobby: Space Wolf costume (Space Marine & Warhammer 40K, I assume most of you know these marines)
It was huge and challenging for me but project was success and I'm proud what I did.


How I turned here?

My Wolf project was so inspiring that my friend got excited to do his own Reach armor and continuous effect got myself and my girlfriend to excited too and even some of our friends.
So we gathered Halo Cosplay Squad in Finland's city named Oulu. Squad's name is Panther's Tear. I'm not sure how many members we truly have but I, my girlfriend and our fellow friend (who started spartan project first) are active to build armor's.

Here I shall post pics of my project and if you like (and if I'm allowed to post) I like to post my space wolf pics too.

Foam is familiar material to me and friend recommended to use EVA foam, so I chose that material for my S-411 project (Reach based armor)
One reason for EVA foam is that we have no place and no resources for using resin wiberglass, bondo etc.etc. And some materials what you used are hard to find in Finland and it's very expensive to get needed stuff from outside of Finland.

My spartan armor's gonna have some own custom stuffs (own additions onto armor etc.)
I'm weapon specialist in Panther's Tear so I'm customising heavy gun from Nerf Vulcan. I'm going to make ammo backpack and ammofeeder to contact backpack and weapon together.

I got silver medal on hardcore cosplay competition, one reason is this is actually surprising mobile for a marine costume. It is not "true scaled" made for my own size, that's why it is mobile.

Holy---- your Space Wolf is bloody fantastic. And your foam work for your reach armour is beautiful. The details. Now I'm excited to see how it turned out

I'm bulding cod now for S411, it's progressing slowly but during weekend I guess I'm able to build abs and rest of cod.
Chest will takes some time, It's next week's project.

COD builded, ABS on progress.
I was thinking shall I build all abs parts together or shall I keep em seperate and attached them on undersuit, that may give some little extra flexibility. Anyway Project goes slowly but surely.

With my Finnish friends we have found squad named "Panther's Tear" and here's the sketches of squad's mark/emblem/logo.
Bloody tear is also attached on helmet's visor as one symbol of Panther's Tear squad.




I'll post more pics of my S-411 Project when I'm able. I sewed COD parts together, it's more flexible and stretchable now.
Another note: I need to lose little bit weight and train my body for this Project. good motivation to exersice

Could'nt post pictures (my tablet sucks or I just sucks) I tooked heavier weapon than assault rifles etc. Bought nerf vulcan gun and some ammobelts for it. After all I'm second in command and heavy weapon specialist of Finnish Panther's Tear squad. My armor is getting some custom additions what cannot be found from Reach game. I've always give some unique and personal touch for my armors.

I first though to make ammopacbag for my vulcan (ammo belts long enough) but I got lazy with plannings and for other reasons I'm gonna make 'Rambo' addition, one ammo belt on the chest armor. Also trying to add some sort of collar. Will see what ideas I get. Hope the links work.

Excellent work mate

I've been a little quiet here, but I've work hardly for my Spartan armor. Here's latest progress.




there's some work to do before I can start to painting. I did not used velcro for attaching armor onto undersuit, I used buttons.

WOW!!!!!!!............ that is awesome great job on the foam work keep it up.

It's been a long time when I've updated my Project... and I've been so inactive here, I'm so sorry. But not much to do and my armor is complete!
Chest and helmet left to paint but this is gonna be a nice badass armor! Hand painted with miniature and acrylic paints and details painted free hand.

Looks great! Love that helmet, it's one of my favorites
