Hello everyone! Antony here, hoping you're having a great day from Greece!
So, i recently decided to relive my past halo reach days and i had not been playing for long before the idea struck me:
How epic would it be to make a cosplay from this? Now, of course, i am entirely new to cosplay and so i am afraid to admit that i do not have the slightest of ideas on what to start off with.
What i will be trying to create is basically my current armor loadout from halo reach:
(of course i will provide you with a link! drum roll please?
https://haloreachstats.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/covenant elite0/haloreach
tada! promotional codes and/or coupons not included)
So, joking aside, it appears to be . . well . . difficult so i decided to ask the experts
What materials will i need?
Where would i get them?
Are they even available here?!?
Now, i know i may be picky but as my signature says, i like to go by the motto of
"If you're gonna do something, you might as well do it well"
so i would like to NOT settle for the paper-like-overly-shiny armor.
Instead, aiming high i would like to achieve something more like the pictures (links) i have included(bottom)
I am aware that these people have probably had a lot of experience, but i am going to try my best!
Time is an issue but as long as it turns out like that, then i am willing to put in the extra hours/days/months(/years?)

Thank you all!
cheers!

Examples of "Yes, please!" (as for style) (note: all links have been found with google images and i own none of them. Whoever made them is amazing!)

PS: Sorry for the pictures being links rather than uploads. I hope you can all forgive my newbie-ness
second edit, sorry. So i am also just beggining to get into airsoft. Any way the armor would be able to sustain a hit or two? (ex: fiberglass perhaps?)

Well, there are two primary methods of building armor: Pepakura and Foam. Once you've decided on that, there is a wealth of information in the "HELP!" posts for each topic.

Both foam and paper has its ups and downs. Just keep in mind it's going to take you a while to build your armor. If your able to be patient with it you will do good. I'm still a begginer myself and I had no clue what to do when I started last May.

I don't think you're a beginner, but that's beside the point. Paper (and resin) is awesome if you're looking for strength. On the downside, it can get heavy. For foam, its way more flexible than paper, and doesn't need support. However, the paint work might come off easier.

I'm only half way done with my first suit. So I think I'm still a begginer :)

I bought a airsoft helmet along time ago that I'm pretty sure is made of pepakura and fiberglass. It holds up to getting hit pretty well. But point blank you can see where it pushes the fiberglass apart from everything else.
