Its some kinda sports mesh . wicks like a dream! . just what we need .

I just need to slit it to work with my belt system.
EDIT . So its not gonna work with my suspension system. so its scrapped .

IIve got enough stuff to make it as a 2 part . Ill do that later . the catsuit approach is not gonna work.

OK so I managed to lob off the lower legs and save the back zipper and top . I ll make leggings tomarrow .
Ill add the arms today to the top. I am soo happy I got 3 yards !

Here is the neck area and the mesh stuff.

EDIT the leggings are done. just need to add a waist band.

Still need to make the arms on the undersuit . The muse is not in me to sew

But the Abs are done .
boot covers are half done ( toes fit ! . I need to draft my shoes in to CAD for the uppers and heels , the last set of failed covers was a 15 H print !

it was toasty today and I swear I saw a rain event happen in my lid.. no fogging but man it was a swamp up in there .
So far I am learning to walk in it well . its almost as bad as a Real spacesuit !
A friend dressed as the stig from top gear was my photog today.
I blame him for this cosplay

He got me hooked on the fandom this past winter..

Yes We ate at sharis. the bar stools are thigh armor friendly. And the staff are chill with cosplay! .
Being the only 24H joint in town I go there often at night to get midnight grub.

Speaking of Griff and his Cone of doom.. the person who did the cortana print for me wants to make a griff now

He has a 24^3 print bed * drools *

I never thought I would get it done on time....... The dude who did the Iron man 3D printed in the news says it took him 14 months !

Thankfully this only took around 4 months.
About 600 Hours of work combined Print and build time -120 days to make
I reckon that I took a few weeks off of equal time so Lets do math at 9 am

cause I am really interested in how fast this could be done again.
6 Hours a day was spent printing Or building .
Some days was way more or less but this feels about right.
granted this included the weapons too!
that was for this build .

lets do math again with less off time .
600 Hours is a fixed Number
Lets say I can pack in 20 H of ""printing"" a day. this gives time to prep the bed and pluck parts off it.
Lets take off a day a week . this makes 120 a week
Boils down to One month . 30 days /
I know I cant glue and such 20 H a time but I can safely say If you were to Live with your printer and feed it as fast as it can go .
You could do a suit in 1.5 months .

gosh I could almost get a new suit by Halo5's opening

I just had a lovely conversation with one of the local police officers here in town.

I'm always one who tries to prevent problems rather than try to fix them after the fact.

Knowing that halo cosplay generally involves very realistic firearms. I felt that it would be appropriate considering I know police chief here in Wilsonville well enough to give them a heads up on this year's cosplay... This way hopefully there will be no surprises. I trust them, but I might as well do my due diligence considering we live in very tense times.

So I pull up to an officer who had his window down and appeared to be on break.

He said I've noticed you've got a new costume and it's pink. Is that some kind of Power Ranger?.

I said no it's a 3-D printed halo costume. I proceed to show him some pictures on my cell phone the ones I posted here in the woods. He was very impressed. We made some small talk about laptops.. I use Panasonic Toughbook's. ( World's best laptops)

So I politely asked him to tell his fellow officers to be aware of what I'm wearing for Halloween this year etc. and that it's very likely I'll have on some fake firearms.

He said and I quote"don't worry we already know you. Your chill in our book."

Let's just say this gave me a very warm fuzzy feeling inside.

its my documents folder in the end . with the screen real estate I have (2 27 inch 2K screens) is a load of icon space.
saves me so much time as I dont have to go to a docs folder to find something ......

EDIT . I made the magnet mounts for the thighs.

needs more power IMO but should last the con.

Boots are done for now At version 1.0
some pumped up kicks . ( I wanna add some * lift* foam to get a inch hight)

the base shoes are not boots and are not ideal for the system but velcro is SO handy to slip on .,

I love it. The foam padding is going to help when you're standing around all day wearing it. Be sure to put something durable under the foam. (Drag your feet too long and you won't have anything to stand on.)

I hope the magnets aren't too strong that the thigh piece rubs against the pistol when removing it, but not weak enough to fall off when walking.

As soon as I am home tomarrow I am gonna strip donuts chest and upper legs of paint . bow chika bow wow ( sorry I had to do that )

Ive got a sander and bondo and UV cure spot putty to lay on and also fix a few armor cracks.
the forarms are WAY to long to wear and need to be re printed but I know I can do them in a few days

the chest needs some more glassing in the back .

Ive got rose city CC in 10 days! gotta make Pvt Muffin look Fabulous again !
Oh and the boots are Really messed up.

King Rahl. as soon as I got to the con my side arm fell apart. ( I let caboose use it at it had no mount points any more)

the magnets are not doing there job in the field.
My plan is to add the metal plate to the armor and then put the magnets on the weapons this time

I can use my drill to semi inset them.
