Any plans for grenades or Future Cubes! (Cubes of the Future!) to match your lightish-red persona's famed tossing arm?

I have a Lumia 635 with Cortana, and was thinking about the possibility of mounting a hard case into the forearm piece of my armor and adding that mobile friendly touch fabric to the opposite glove, maybe a Bluetooth in the helmet. Instant data pad with AI. And a place to keep my phone safe in armor.

Ill dig up some build pics for ya !.

As for today's props .

I asked the local store for headlight fluid and elbow grease

I did manage to snatch a flag!

I used some Fabric Xfers and I re painted and fixed up the UNSC logo from the Halo Wiki

Cursed PC mode color problems . Ive only calibrated the screens for my desktop in MAC OSX mode. ( I rarely use the W7 booted side to do graphics stuff. The blue was to match. Oh well ...

I may just do it again all with fabric on demand after Kumoricon in a few weeks

I sense a SPANKR on the way! . a friend needs a toy to tote to the opening of Halo5



I was gonna save them for a static rocket model from KSP ( bonus points if you know what that is \\

But I suspect they will be better for a prop.
Yea not to scale but Its gonna be short and sweet

cardboard and EVA foam! ......

I need to make a handle and some body work..

Ill pep the handle . Its just not worth 3D printing.

I did break out a redbull and made this SMG

Better pics to come once it drys



its for fun so its EVA foam and bondo...


The AR and BR are kinda big! a SMG is a tad smaller and therefor more Con friendly.

Awesome SMG, just curious it looks like you used a nerf gun for the smg which one did you use? I see lots of people using the raider and sometimes recon for it I plan on eventually making one after I do the magnum and shotgun.

Some more very awesome things are happening right now in the ONI lab.

I've been spending some time over at fellow 405th members pad helping him with fiberglass in his suit so that we can build this in time for the Halo five launch. Meanwhile we've been brainstorming.

He is going to start on the pep for the handle sometime soon and I am going to help him with a few ideas we have for the plasma sword.


I've still not abandon my idea of fiber optic systems. I think it would be a fun challenge to do all the math required for it . That all said there are some other options. The alleged luminescent paint is good to cost way too much. However there are other options they give that glow look.. Something that we have been pondering is to use UV LEDs on a strip down each blade as it's being casted in clear plastic. And then painting the surface with UV reactive paints. Or doping the casting plastic with UV dyes and also painted on the surface other UV hues .

I really hope the passing material does not block UV light. I suspect it probably will.


A company called risk reactor makes extremely potent UV and glow-in-the-dark dyes and inks. And I've got access to quite a lot of UV reactive 3-D printing filament.
So tonight I've got a small-scale test. I've cracked open a bunch a highlighters and squeeze the juice out of them and combined it with some epoxy. And then going take this epoxy samples to fries tomorrow and borrow one of their UV pens. If this goes as planned then we will escalate states to and order some more powerful UV LEDs

Ive started on a NERF shotgun mod in CAD. this time its all 3D printed for add on packs .
Its based on a raider CS-35
I want to make it so YOU can print it and have it just superglue in place .
Use existing rails and mounts ect

EDIT . Ive got the Butt scaled and I made it mate to the back of the NERF blaster .

OK printed off the grip .


split in the middle to print better. Used CA glue and catalist. .


It's mounted to allow full slide of the pump action .

Gutted the chamber as you cant use the load pump if there is not a mag in the thing .
added some prelim paint.

Other side.
By 4 AM the first butt section of 2 will be done .
then off to the next part.
I am not planning on any barrel work as Ive got a friend who needs print time for his suit stuff.
I need to fit test his part then He is my first priority for the next month .
this project fits in the print schedule just right.

FRYs has EL tape and wire.

Added the sight.

Needs some more eye popping paint.. More light grey.

Il have that Spankr done this afternoon... foam PVC as the handle via TAP plastics .... they are gonna route it for me.
