Hi guys got a question. I am looking to do a few pieces of my armor in eva foam and plan to pva coat then use smooth on 65d to coat it to harden the foam I know this works..I also have pepakura items that need to be coated.i know most people use fiberglass resin coat than rhondo coat after...my question is can I coat pepakura in 65d plastic resin and achieve that plastic look/feel/strength like a roto casted prop ? Should the pepakura be coated strait in plastic resin or should I fiberglass resin coat first let is harden than plastic resin coat it after....how does plastic resin react with paper ? Will fiberglass resin ruin the plastic resin ? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Ive never tried using both, but i do know that coating pepakura in Smooth-On 65D works well. To achieve the strength in the pieces i would put a coat or two on the outside and then slush cast the inside. This will add to the weight significantly but it will give you the required durability.
