Hello all! I've been around for a while, but not present here on the 405th. Time to change that! I've had a completed MK VI Tucker from Red vs Blue for a couple years now, and decided it's time for a new project. Upon multiple viewings of the Forward Unto Dawn movie, I couldn't get over how much I loved the design of MC's armor!! :) (I know it's the same as The Package from Legends) So after deciding I wanted to try my hand at creating this armor for myself, I began the search for pep files. As anyone knows who has looked into this, or attempted it themselves, there's unfortunately only one set of FUD files, and they are EXTREMELY low definition. This realization was a bit daunting, and very discouraging... But after a lot of time, research, photo comparison to the pep files, and letting go of self-doubt, I decided I don't need to rely on heavily defined pep files to create :)

So, I will be attempting to customize all of the pieces of this armor with my own improvised techniques, materials, and methods. Hope some of you enjoy this thread, and I will try my best to point out all the little changes I've made to make the pieces look as much like the armor in the movie as I am able to with my limited abilities and skill.

Here are a few pics of the pepped out biceps. There are details I will be adding to all sides of this except the very inside. But here's what they look like in their natural form, straight from the pep file:i14079336230_5df8ecb892_c.jpg]14262625611_30a714b868_c.jpg

Goofy thing about this file: the front of the bicep is a floating piece....??? So weird. You can see the completed front in the first picture. Needless to say, it was a bit of a pain to try and attach the sides/back to the front and have it look as it should without any weird contortions. I will be cutting the back apart to make it wider, adding a couple details on the side, and adding foam detail layers to the front and back. Will share more pics soon!! Enjoy!

nice work so far, you'll run into some issues with Pep files, they are usually small minor ones, but can be frustrating. Keep up the thread, its looking good so far!

Thanks you guys!! will do! And I appreciate the nice words.

Got some hand plates pepped, as well as shoulders (which is frustrating that the shoulder isn't part of the bicep, but oh well, I can handle it lol)

Nice thing about the shoulders, they don't need any modifying. Just going to add a little circular foam details in the sunken in areas on the sides when it comes time for paint. Hand plates didn't need too much work either, added some circles and gave them depth with 1/4" foam.

Looks great, clean lines! The shoulder being separate from the bicep could be a huge advantage sometimes. My build it wasnt separated and i had to do it myself because to fit my arms it made the shoulder HUGE! lol so its not always bad.

Beautiful to see the Shoulders in pep form. They look so clean and even compared to mine.

Your suit is bad ass though, and it's scratch built too which I think is way harder than using pep files. Ever thought of remaking some pieces with the pep models?.

Yeah the calves and biceps, because I'd scale them to look bigger, but I've never pep'd before.

Got the forearms done:

Started to draw on a few of the custom little details I plan to add.
This pep model isn't too bad, but it's missing a TON of details. As you can see in this pic from the armor on set:

Gonna get creative and try and add as many of those little indented areas as possible. Will share when it's done!!

Alright, got a good amount of details added to the forearms. I know it's not 100% screen accurate, but I'm pretty pleased with how it looks and how different and more exciting it looks compared to the original pep file. Take a look:

I think they look great. Knowing this armor very well, I know exactly what pieces you're adding.

well, got the two forearms glassed, and one of them spot putty-ied:

20412408102_57eda8d259.jpg

I also glassed the handplates. But upon further inspection from mine and the photo references, I realized I was missing a lot of details :/ So I figured I'd re-pep them, and add all the proper details I could:

20579775065_899898d6cd.jpg
20553600056_b51131330e.jpg

As you can see, a much better improvement. And I up-scaled them a little bit too.

Did you change the pep file or just adjust it with building it?
Edit: I guess you just built them in.
I really like the additions on the forearms and hand plates!
It looks fantastic!

Hacxor: I did modify the pep files a bit. As in, I joined a TON of pieces that were unnecessarily separated on each file, and rearranged a lot of how the pieces were laid out. I also just added details where I wanted by free hand cutting pieces and shapes out, and gluing in cardstock to back them. I wish I had the prop version of pepakura to save the files after I changed them, cuz man, these files are janky as hell.

Nice build. Great pep work. Looking forward to your build!

Thanks Burt!! I appreciate it!! I shall keep the updates coming
