I finished the gauntlets and the shoulders, and put everything together to strap and fit it, here it is :b
I was trying different things underneath, hence the British DPM camouflage c:

dude, you have waaaaaay too much time on your hands to get this far in the build. I hate you.....your my Idol. I'm lucky if I get 2 hrs a day to work on my build. Looks great. The under "armor" camo is nice but you need to tighten it up a bit. Looks a bit baggy.

Started to plastidip pieces, here are the shoulders c:
They will be strapped onto me by the use of Shin pads :D

Sorry for no updates in a while, everything is now plastidipped but I haven't taken pictures of it all yet, only the 'Belt' section and how it's strapped.
It goes under my legs like a harness (Mostly because I didn't want everything flapping about, as it doesn't ingame lol), and the hip plates are attached by the belt running through a loop on the hip plates. (I will show this asap)
I have also made the Chest plate plate thing thicker, and I did something to my torso section which idk why I did but I need ideas, I will also show this asap

Here is the strapping for the Thigh plate, the left most strap is a Clip, while the top strap is elastic

Put a light in it. Wire it to a switch in the chest to turn it on/off.

Just an observation: There are jagged edges sticking out of the inside part of the chest piece. Perhaps a quick snip w/ a scissor can correct?

I can't give any advice because I haven't done foam before, but I like your progress. That shoulder turned out nice too. I like Dirtdives idea about a flashlight. I don't know if they still make them because the one I have is ancient, but I have a small rectangular flashlight that is that exact size and shape. You wouldn't even have to attach it, just turn it on (or off) and shove it in. Even a head lamp might be the right size and shape.

Radio shack has the parts needed to make an LED flashlight so you can build it to your specifications. Or just get an LED pen light w/ a push button top that sticks out just enough for you to turn on by hand.

So like a Tactical light? That's cool actually, I think I might just buy a torch and stick it in yet make it removable so I can turn it on and off :b

If anyone is wondering what I will do for paint, I am going to put a Silver/Light Grey Primer on the whole suit, then follow this little guy for paint scheme, just replace the white with Dark Blue c:

Where it is Black on this guy, it's black on me, where it's Grey, I'm grey, where it's white, I'm Blue :b

Okay so more pictures, over Christmas I ordered a Helmet online, through Headshot props on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/headshotprops)
I also got some painting done with my Dad, and I've left it with him so he can do the last few layers c:

First is the grey Primer, which I was gonna cover bits to make battle damage but I forgot so it just got covered over

I've also changed the colour scheme a little, I've decided to wear my DPM uniform underneath, so I painted the gaunlets and the chest piece green, as well as bits of the shoulder pieces c: The rest of the colour scheme is the same however.. Any advice for the smaller things like the 'UNSC' and names and such?

I think grey or white for the letters and symbols would look good. Nice work Mesh!
Duke, didn't recognize you're new Avatar.......Very moooo.

As for the color of the lettering......if you want it to stand out, yes white or light grey, but if you want it to blend w/ the suit if it is a camo pattern, black or an olive green.
