Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

I am off to work .
but Mr printer is baking out the last part to the other thigh. I cant sand * noise * when I get back at 10-12 PM tonight so It will be in the AM I get to polish and paint the other thigh.

I may do the for arms next tonight as CAD and print is quiet.
I have 3 spools here and I need likely need only one to make the arms .

Arms are a ton smaller then legs. therefor My guess is friday for there ETA...

Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

Thanks! . Its going smoother then My chief and elite builds. My guess is every new way to do things takes time to work out the kinks.

In the last 24H I have one arm brace printed out and By tomorrow have both arms done.

YAY for ahead of schedule !

Shins are next....... Eriq came by and we did some pondering for how he is gonna get them on and how to attach them...
That is all solved

Ill put a Next Friday as the ETA for the shins .

that leaves the boot covers and chest and glove and Helm.

I am in LOVE with this paint! . I cant tell you how cool it looks In real life.

Once I add some silver for some weathering its gona be Sick!

Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

Shins are moving along faster then I thought.
I can pop out 2-3 parts a run .
I did lose a 10 H print yesterday due to a clog.

I am pleased with the up-conversions I did in blender. Its making it look much better.
ETA for shins and ton more pics Friday night.

Shiny *.* I'm debating just buying foam and starting on my spartan armour in the interim while waiting to start Cortana. Might have to commission you man. This looks so nice.

Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

thanks palmer . Eriq Loves that paint and its red version too.

the up-convert reallly makes a diff

I would take a commision but I am kinda booked till winter ish sans small stuff like props and the like ,

Guess I'll have to tough it out then lol. Good luck with your projects though nonetheless.

Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

a little update . I am keeping busy on the armor . right now I am dealing with chest issues and some choices . What kinda guts we wanna add and how its gonna be attached .
I suspect Ill be doing a peg system this time around. and its gonna have to be SUPER tough.

Infact I may have to use Al tubing for it

Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

Do keep us in the loop and let us know how it goes! I'm liking the look of this so far. I'll be taking tips from this to put towards my own armour build. Thinking of picking up the foam for it soon but I kind of want to buy a Nerf Modulus Recon MK II and mod it to the Sniper from the games. It's pretty darn close to them if I may admit and has an attachment upgrade that would work well.

Re: Noble halo5 3D printing armor for a client

Hey guys! its Eriq here, I would have posted on this thread ages ago but was having some computer problems sadly. But we are all good now!

Pete is currently sewing up the under/body-suit right now after "somewhat careful pre-planning." *cough* *winged it* *cough*... annnd we should be good to start on the chest and then soon afterwards the helmet finally!

This armor is coming along so nicely and we are super excited to see the finished product. As Peter would say, it is definitely "porn quality." I think it is better than that though...
