In their trailers? That's certainly an interesting place. XD
called my local Yamaha they said treads are hard to come by at the moment because people use them for in their trailers.

I have a few junkyards I can try tomorrow and if that fails we could always cut a bunch of planks and rubbercoat them

UPDATE TIME!

Adding the panels now with arma358 Some minor supports are still being added as well, but with any luck all the panels will be on by the end of October if not sooner.

I have an idea for the treads if you don't find actual ones.......I hope I can describe this w/o making it as clear as mud.......Instead of actual rubber treads, link up a few EVA foam mats to form a large circle. You would need to build a inner framework almost oblong in shape and you could use construction tubing as the wheels that the tread runs on......M113A2-painted-wheels.jpg just to keep the shape of the tread. Most of it will be covered if you are building close to accurate....download (2).jpg. Each of the tread units could take up to 2-3 packs of mats alone figuring each is about 8 feet long......That's a lot of EVA suits worth of mats. Don't know how much treads cost....but I'm sure it isn't cheap.

if youre looking for small tank treads, you might be able to buy them from John Deer, or Yanmar... I know both of those companies have tractors with treads. those things get to be expensive... maybe smaller skid steer treads would be best... and just weld some pipes to the existing wheels and add an empty wheel to it like a dualie truck so that you can attach a "fake" tread to the wheels... for the appearance of the treads, without having to support and create suspension for them?

good work so far! I dig it!

UPDATE!
Sides are done, just need 4 more panels on the top, front, and back and that's it for the exterior. After that it's getting the interior done, sealing cracks and filling gaps, then onto waterproofing.
Won't have an update for next week as I have a con to go to for 3 days, so hold tight.

Also......soooo many tank puns in the comments lol.

Update!!
Had to take a few weeks off there, but got back to work on it this weekend. Got all but 1 outside panels added, and a good portion of the inside done as well. Added the back door onto hinges, and made a little ladder out of it so I can climb into the back more easily. With Winter fast approaching I'm trying to get the main body done as fast as I can. Finishing the inside panels, waterproofing, sealing, and painting still to go.

Awesome progress!! It's awesome seeing such a large project come together in a reasonable amount of time!

Good luck. keep in mind Scorpions in halo 3 are different then in CE, Turret in H3 and dual turrets controlled by driver in CE.
