3D printing to Pepakura File

Is it possible to make a 3D printing file to a Pepakura file so you can use the 3D printing file and make it out of paper like a normal Pepakura file

Realistically speaking probably not. Models for 3D printing are generally high resolution and have too many polygons/faces for unfolding (or assembling) with pepakura. A 3D print model could be used for reference to create a simpler model for pepakura purposes, but there isn't a true quick and dirty conversion method.

Take a raw model file - OBJ format works best. Import that into Pepakura, hit the 'unfold' button, and then refine the work until it's in a print-ready state.

Any 3D modelling program. Blender, 3DS Max, Maya... honestly, it seems as though you could do a little more research here.

I think the question that needs to be asked, since you mentioned that you wanted to convert a 3d print file to pepakura. Here's the question. Do you have the 3d print file on hand?

yeah i do i have pepakura files and have made stuff but i haven't made my own file
